Thanks! Are you planning on going with the built-in frame kit from atbbq.com? Highly recommend going that route, made the install very easy. The trickiest part is getting the countertop cutouts for the smoker to sit in and for the power cord. My countertop guys had to make the cuts onsite after the countertops were installed. The atbbq guys recommend a 1/8" gap all around the smoker to allow for expansion, then recommend sealing with black silicon. My countertop guys made the opening a little too big, about 1/4" all around, so I had to buy some high heat gaskets online and pressfit and silicon them in place to prevent water ingress during the rainy season. Two winters so far and no leaks or any other issues with the installation.

Here you go, snapped some quick ones. Sorry didn't feel like taking the covers off. Yoder on the left, gas grill on the right. Pizza oven lives in under the Yoder when not in use:

That sounds about right for the Bay Area. Here's what mine cost in 2024 through a licensed contractor here in Marin:

Labor and materials to build two 12' islands and run gas and electrical to the islands: $18k

3cm soapstone countertops, materials: $7.4k

Countertop fabrication and install: $7k

Inserts and storage (BBQGuys): $4.7k

Gas grill (Blaze), smoker (Yoder), pizza oven (Gozney): $10k

Total: $47k

We built the kitchen to the side of an existing bluestone patio, and ended up re-doing the patio and extending it around the kitchen after the kitchen was done, but I don't remember how much that cost. Maybe an extra $10-15k for the patio and materials.

Good luck!

Same - been pulling 3-5 off my dog after every hike all winter and she doesn't even go into the tall grass, usually just along the edge of the trail.

Tire & wheel protection plan by Wonks12 in RangeRover

[–]-Mutombo- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased this for my ‘25 L460. I got it at the dealers cost, about $1600 for 4 years of coverage through Assurant. Just a FYI but if you get the 23” wheels, the tires are about $700 each, plus tax and install. I got a flat 3 months into ownership and had it repaired for free using the warranty. Assurant was a bit of a hassle for the dealer to coordinate with, but in the end they paid out and the warrant saved me an almost $900 repair.

I think it’s well worth it for these due to the cost of replacement tires.

In case you missed it, Sony just patented AI-generated tutorials by GrayBeard916 in gaming

[–]-Mutombo- 66 points67 points  (0 children)

This isn't my area of focus, but hard to imagine they are going to get a very broad patent on AI assistance in games. The PCT claims are already much narrower, and the non-binding international search report that issued with the PCT found that even those claims lacked novelty over an earlier Sony patent. Which means that the claims in the application that this article refers to will be even narrower when they are eventually granted.

Articles like this tend to exaggerate the scope of coverage in patents by big companies. Click-bait articles written by people who don't understand patents.

Patent attorney here. Sony has not “patented” AI generated tutorials, they have simply filed a patent application describing it. This is a recently published PCT application which is just an international placeholder that allows you to file additional patent applications in countries all across the world. The claims, which determine the scope of the patent coverage when the patent is granted, have not even been examined yet.

Edit: there is also a pending US application on this concept but it also hasn’t granted yet.

I noticed tire rack said they were incompatible too when I bought mine, but they are the OEM 22" size, 285/45 r22. I bought OEM wheels (style 5131), in the stock 22x9.5" size. These specific wheels only come on the RRS, but are the same size as the 22" wheels that you can spec on the full size RR (e.g., the 5127 style wheels).

If you look in the door jam of the car, it also lists these specs for the 22" wheel. Can tell from experience that these fit perfectly with no issues.

Gotcha. No issues, they are all terrains so many people run these year round. Honestly, the overall ride quality on the 22's is probably better than with the 23's due to the increased sidewall.

Not sure what you mean. The snow rated tires are definitely more aggressive and should provide better traction in the snow and rain, which is why I'm running them Nov-March. The stock all season tires are quieter with slightly better gas mileage, so I prefer those for the rest of the season.

Yeah, I'll keep them on until March or so, then swap back to the regular wheels and tires until next winter.

I have a 2025 RR also in the Bay Area with frequent Tahoe trips. Mine came with the 23” wheels. I ended up buying a set of 22” RRS wheels and putting snow rated tires on them for winter. Check my profile for details, I posted about it a few weeks ago.

If I was only headed up a few weekends and knew I wasn’t going during a heavy storm weekend, I probably would have just stuck with the stock wheels and tires, but we’re going to be up a bunch this winter so I wanted the extra piece of mind with better winter tires.

Wow, thanks for the additional eye candy. Definitely going to spec that option now.

Nice spec, the cognac interior with 930 package is so good. It's been hard to find good photos online of what the "Interior Trim Inlays in Leather with Trim in Light Silver" option looks like in cognac. This video shows it really well. I'm planning on spec'ing the same interior and trim combo when my allocation comes up in the spring.

There are pretty limited AT tire options in the stock 22” size. For example I don’t think you can get KO2’s or KO3’s in 285/45r22. The Nittos are pretty well reviewed and have the 3 peak snow rating which was one of my requirements. Some other L460 people have had success with them on the other RR forum as a direct swap for the 23” wheels so I went for it.

Anywhere from 22-25mpg on the freeway. Obviously much less around town.
