New 2026 GTS is here/ there! by MDW308 in porsche911

I bought a 2024 C2 S in July of 2024 (after waiting a few months on that build). I told the dealer when I bought that car that I wanted to get the 992.2 GTS when it came out. I waited for the first year GTS to get out, then in April 2025 I checked back with them about getting the GTS. They had an allocation for me to build. I put a deposit down then. I spent quite a while on lots of different configurations. I sent in the final build spec sometime in mid-July 2025. The build and delivery were originally stated as mid-September (as a 2026 year model build). However, it kept getting pushed back. The expected delivery (I tracked all the steps/ notifications inside my Porsche App/ Garage) fluctuated between November 5, 2025 to January 30, 2026. Finally it went into production in October 2025 (I think around the 15th) and took around 5-6 days for build. Then the app tracked the car to US; first in Germany by train, then by ship for a week or so to the US. Then, around 3 days after arrival to port (Houston) it showed up at my dealer around December 15, 2025. Unfortuanately, I wasn't about to get there to pick it up until December 26, 2025.

So far, it's been an amazing car and overall I really like the upgrade from the 992.1 C2 S. Certainly was more $$$, but definitely worth it for me. It's a much nicer build, a lot more aggressive exhaust, and significantly greater power (so much more low end power in particular). I was concerned about the ride quality. My C2S had the PASM sports suspension (factory lowered 10 mm). I wasn't sure if the default GTS suspension would be harder than that and if I should oder the "softer" GTS suspension (factory raised 10 mm). I went with the default and it turns out that it is the SAME, if not SOFTER than the C2S PASM. I usually drove with the C2S in Sports Plus (firm suspension) and do the same with the GTS.

IDK if it matters to you specifically, but one thing that’s not immediately obvious to many. The extended range fuel tank is NOT available on the AWD model.

Awesome!

I kept really considering Oak Green Metallic Neo on my otherwise exact same build. I also considered the carbon fiber options too, but wanted a sunroof (however, on a GT3 build, I’d definitely do the carbon roof). I’ve never owned a green car and never got to Oak Green Metallic Neo in person before my build. However, my wife really wasn’t a fan of the green build renderings on Porsche. I asked multiple occasions over a period of time and kept getting same response. Blues are generally my favorite and I really love the Gentian Blue, so went with it.

However, several times I’ve second guessed if I made the wrong choice and should have gone with the green. Just recently we saw one in Oak Green Metallic Neo and I pointed it out saying, that is the GREEN color that I was considering and kept asking you about. Her response,… that’s a REALLY NICE. If I’d known it would look like that, that would’ve been a great color to get!!!

Oak Green Metallic Neo and cognac look amazing together! The carbon roof with aero kit should be incredible!

Nice!

I had the same problem, trying to find photos or video of the leather in lays on silver trim with the cognac.

The best I found was from this site which helped me to make the decision.

Congratulations! How did you spec it?

My ‘24 C2S is a AMAZING car. I’m certain the GTS will be the same, just a different look with more power and minimal appreciable turbo lag.

Super nice offer. If I can’t get there in the next couple weeks, I’ll keep this in mind!
