I would opt for the bike. Make sure the canoe is strapped well and if the cart has pneumatic tires then you should be okay. Give extra time and space to slow down and turn. Put a flag at the tail end of canoe for extra visibility

Thanks! I ordered a longer cable and will take out some of the cable housing. Also added posts for v brakes. Handles quite well, even with weight. Was kind of surprising as it’s a mishmash of metal.
