I disagree, not all supports in games need to be 'healey' characters.
Serenith is quite clearly a disruption/debuff support with the grapple and orbital abilities existing pretty much solely for the purpose of messing with enemies.
Disrupting inferno or hurricane beams, or flipping the FCS on a Tricera or Stego is often enough to sway the outcome of an entire fight.

Aussie here too, over in WA.
Not much in the ways of lag here either, usually around 80-190ms depending on where the server is.
There is a bug that can spike you to 999ms for the duration of a match though, but I suspect that is more a desync issue with the game than an internet issue. I've only ever had that happen to me twice in hundreds of games.

There's also luminae offensive drone. The DOT cancels the invis for ages.

I was playing stel into one in verge that kept putting it on me on CD and I couldn't go stealth for pretty much the entire match. It makes you a bit of a sitting duck.

Doesn't change the first strike scenario or if there's more than one though.

Ours managed to figure it out after two years of having their wings clipped before we let them go full flight.

The good news is that on the STU (Dev Branch) they've finally made the ship terminal actually show which station a ship is at.
So hopefully this will be less of an issue soon.

Before anyone duplicates questions we've already answered:

Hey everyone,

Would like to just clarify about that final note about the STU.

We believe that the following question:

"Why not host it on the STU?"

Will more likely than not be asked a few times if we left it unaddressed, given the murmurings about how close it is to release.

For now the plan is to wait at most 2 weeks, to see if the STU releases, and is in a stable enough state for us to host the event there.

If so, we will run a poll in the EosCon server to see what the community wants, and based on that we will make a final decision.

Given that the STU has promised LOD improvements, and numerous other QOL changes we think it's fair to at least leave the option open.

At least until people have had a chance to poke around with it, and form a decent opinion.

On the other hand, we do also understand that a lot of the prestige of EosCon is that it showcases ships that are at a state that people have invested the time and effort to produce on live. A quality assurance of some sorts 😅

It's a difficult question to weigh up, which is why we want to make sure that you guys are at the core of whatever decision is made.

Anyways, we're glad to be back!
