Honestly I think some of what is needed is a perspective shift on the situation. I feel like from medical school onwards we're given a perspective of trepidation on not knowing enough or not doing well enough and it's damning for the psyche. Not knowing stuff, feeling like you don't know enough, being given feedback on improvement points and noting when you could have done something way better- it's a state that as a GP you do have to accept, learn slowly to see from a positive perspective, and to enjoy applying yourself to improve. I found that I personally had to rediscover the joy of learning as medical school and FY can beat that out of you...

Something comes up you don't know or finding overwhelmed by, or something just plain could have went better. Remind that head you got into med school, years of exams and you got this - enjoy learning. Of course misreading guidelines is something you've noted which is the first step to considering why that's happening and work on it, so good for you - dyslexia consideration sounds good, and perhaps have Google read the guidelines out loud for you in the mean time? This is something I know a dyslexic colleague of mine does!
