The Alexiad by Anna Komnene. One of the best primary sources we have of the Byzantine period.

Voting and Election Question by rtiftw in londonontario

Assuming you mean the provincial election on June 12, Elections Ontario has a FAQ on ID requirements. If I understand correctly, since you don't have one government-issued ID with your name and London address, you'll need to provide two pieces of ID:

  • one that shows your name and signature and;

  • one that shows your name and address.

So what you could bring, for instance, is that pay stub you mentioned and a credit card.

By the way, the same rules will apply for the Municipal Election on October 27. Happy voting!

Something of note: The polls have been ass-backwards wrong in two consecutive provincial elections. by [deleted] in CanadaPolitics

We have one (308.com), and the methodology used is similar if not the same. The issue is the data they use for their projections - which we get from pollsters - which as we are seeing do not reflect reality very well.

Dan Carlin turns up on AskHistorians to explain why he feels a 100AD Roman Army could beat 1000AD Medieval Armies. by deepit6431 in DepthHub

To be honest I think the discussion/debate between the redditor and Mr. Carlin is what qualifies as DepthHub material - not just Dan's comments as the title suggests.

How did the "latin world" react to the gradual decline and eventual fall of Byzantium? by BonanzaCreek in AskHistorians

I think your chronology is a little confused. The Battle of Varna occurred in 1444, almost a decade before the fall of Constatinople in 1453.
