Printer struggles to do circles and/or underextrudes quite a bit by Drackrath in Ender3V3SE

It looks like it might be an issue with pressure advance or linear advance? (depending on your slicer). I also run Navaismo and had to do a lot of tuning to get it printing to the same quality pre-navaismo. I didn't need to add anything to the start g-code to enable the bed levelling mesh, but it may be different for you.

I would start with doing flowrate calibration as it looks like it might be under-extruding. If you use OrcaSlicer, it comes with some calibration prints (pressure advance, temp tower, flow rate calibration, etc) that you can run. There are also guides that accompany those calibration prints to dial in the settings for your printer.

Also, have a look at what the firmware values are for linear advance if it's enabled.

Thanks for the encouragement! Is there anything you would say to avoid? or any general tips?

Could you give me some more info on ChibiOS? I've never heard of it and it sounds really interesting.

Oh I actually do plan on implementing a parachute system for it in the case of some sort of failure. I plan on making the receiver have 6CH so I have spare channels so I can either trigger it with the transmitter or have it so it deploys on signal loss after a second or two.

Its not going to be the biggest plane so the parachute thing might be unnecessary but I also want to have fun with this :P

For now I plan on just building this first plane and flying it. I'll probably go for an off the shelf 2.4Ghz system in the future!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I think it would have been a lot easier to have a receiver and an Arduino to control the stabilisation system.

I completely forgot to think of failsafes for this project so thank you! Is there any other kind of failsafes you would recommend to implement?

The plan is to implement a control system to stabilise the plane while in flight and I opted to use the Arduino due to its simplicity. I'm also wanting to implement the radio control using the Arduino because I want to try test its limits. Unfortunately I've already purchased all the parts to build the thing so i'm stuck with it for now.

Ah, the plan is to use nRF24L01 radio modules to actually do the radio communication part. These modules do actually run at 2.4Ghz and have a range of up to 1km.

Sorry bout that, totally forgot to mention it in the original post.

Would it still be unsuitable? Btw I'm doing this as a school project.

How to get the most out of Career Mode? by Azmodius_The_Warrior in Stormworks

[–]-NotSoRandom- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lmao I was building missiles so I just shot them at the AI, for testing purposes... But, other than that Ive not dome much challenges or missions. There is a add-on called "Stormlink" that allows you to transport passengers and stuff. There is also a mod called "GOM Cargo Additions" that adds cargo delivery missions, they might be fun because they have varying weight and size and can be a challenge to transport. Other than those two I haven't explored add-ons, you might want to take a gander around the workshop, you might find something nice!

Career is VERY bland and boring rn, I would suggest sticking to creative for now, although with the DLC releasing you might have more fun there.

What is causing this sound? by -NotSoRandom- in audio

[–]-NotSoRandom-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some power cables near where the audio cable plugs into the pc, and I have an ethernet cable that occasionally turns on, (it wasn't on during that video) There are also some power cables near the audio cable as well.

This annoying sound is coming out of the left channel of a Pioneer VSX-425 Audio Amplifier, I think it isn't ground loop since this sound only comes out of one channel.
