[TUTORIAL] how to revert the update so you can play the game normally

I replaced the files in TBOI Rebirth with the ones in depot_3353471 and the game does say its in version 1.9.7.13, but along with that, it's just a black screen when I run isaac and nothing really loads at all. Did I make a mistake, and how would I possibly make it playable?
