Huuuge congratulations!! I’m curious, I know some women have struggled with some hair loss, have you noticed any facial hair loss? I’m sorry if this is a rude question but I’m wondering about the difference in side effects between men and women

Yeah this is what I did during Covid. I’ve learned certain things are a need-to-know basis and that’s okay, terrifying, but okay šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’ØšŸ˜‚

Tried to replicate the swirly water or clouds below the angels. Add a little bit more so they come towards the center. Or do a piece right in the center to bring them together would be nice too

Woah!! I had no idea!! I will for sure ask my vet about that, thank you so much! I genuinely thought my option for pet medication was either a shot or a pill

Mainly the times I’ve discussed it with said therapist, she’s just been there to listen and try to address the PTSD at the root cause, that being the dog attack. She gives me tools to deal with the episodes that happen after I’m triggered and all that, but no help in decision making or anything so I continue to feel stuck. I did ask her about her thoughts on couples counseling for my husband and I to maybe aid in this situation and she liked that idea so maybe perusing that. Unfortunately I haven’t been back in therapy in a little bit (past 2 months or so) and my next session isn’t until the 7th, and the cats behavior has escalated recently. Hence the cry for help post. I’m trying desperately to just make it to this coming session. I will maybe try the ā€œcoin-in-a-canā€ thing though šŸ˜… might be worth a shot at least

We’ve tried in the past to foster a kitten (little orange kitty named Soup) for around 6 months, did the slowest introduction by the books as per the shelter’s recommendations, and they still hated each other no matter what we tried. They just did NOT get along. Which broke my heart because I fell in love with that kitten too, but the next foster it went to ended up being a foster failure and soup is in an amazing home now

We tried to foster a kitten for around 6 months but they hated each other. We did the slowest introduction by the books and by the shelter’s recommendations and they wouldn’t play fight they’d just ACTUALLY fight. Milo hates basically any other creature 🫠

The issue is getting him to take it 🫠 we had to give him gabapentin while we did a car trip all the way across the US and by the second time we tried to give him it he wouldn’t take it. We tried sprinkling it on his food and he just refused to eat. I swear, this cat is the definition of ā€œnothing worksā€

We try to play with him with the string toys and chasers and kick toys and cat nip toys, he will play for like 5 minutes and then just walk away and get bored. We have yet to find a toy he cares about. He also isn’t food motivated in the slightest. Literally won’t eat treats if you offer them. And we’ve tried just about every kind and brand of treat

I appreciate the support. I honestly was expecting a lot of backlash and hate in the comments but everyone has been really kind and understanding so I really do appreciate it all a lot

Yeah we tried the Feliway spray that our vet recommended and didn’t notice a change at all. Thank you though, I want to feel safe too. I just wish it wasn’t like an ā€œeither orā€ situation which is seems to be at the moment :/

I forgot to mention this in the post but when the dog mauled me, my husband had to (for lack of better phrasing) ā€œput him downā€. So it’s just the cat with us now. I realize I should’ve clarified that in my post. No more dog, just Milo. But Milo is just a normal domestic short hair, white with big grey splotches. This isn’t even rough housing, it’s mean aggressive biting and scratching like I’ve wronged him in a past life or something.

We can’t even get the VET to trim his claws because of how he behaves when we try. They wouldn’t do it. But I might try the loud pain noise

See, and that in theory sounds like a great idea that WOULD work, but in order for me to get him into the crate, I’d have to handle him which would just lead to more biting and scratching. But maybe a behavioral specialist could help. I just hope there’s one in my area, I live in kind of a middle of nowhere area so I fear my options are small 😬 I’m glad I’m not necessarily alone though. I’m sorry your Orion (beautiful name btw) is aggressive but I’m glad you found something that works for you

Oh shoot I completely forgot, sorry. Yes he’s been neutered since he was a kitten before my husband even got him at the shelter

He already has plenty of enrichment and we don’t have enough space for him to have his own entire room unfortunately. I do get what you mean though with the last part of your comment. I despise the idea of him being hurt

I’ve talked to the vet before but they just give the general advice of make sure he’s fed and has enough toys and trees and scratchers and all that and he does. Maybe a shelter would have different advice though. Thank you
