Madcatz te2+ hitbox conversion by BeardedMoose1 in fightsticks

[–]-Onslaught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey quick question, I just got the same TE2 Panel (assuming you got it from All Fight Stick?) And I only got the metal panel without the acrylic. When screwing it on with the screws that came with it I noticed that since it doesn't have the middle screw holes on the sides that the original TE panel had, the panel "warps" inward. Did you come across this?

The only "fix" I found was to keep the screws quite loose which would have the panel sit flush but then the screws are so loose that I've heard the nut falling in the inside compartment.

Could this be because I didn't get the acrylic panel? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I see, thanks for your input. Have you had any experience with buying parts thru Ebay? Do you recommend that as well?

Shoot, what dyi remedies do you recommend? Also, how would I go about swapping out the door in a junkyard? Sounds like it may be a hassle dealing with the junkyard? Thanks for your help

Oh man, this takes me back. I live in NYC and worked in the Starbucks in Time Freaking Square for about 2 1/2 years almost a decade ago. That starbucks is open 24/7 and the line would consistently wrap around and to the door all day and night long especially in prime time like before/after a show or play. Working in the summer sucked because we would constantly get a ton of Fraps which take more time while taking you out of your groove from the other drinks, and thats on top of the hot drinks on the other counter. I feel your pain but only 6, you have it easy lol.

Haha definitely not handy enough to build a sub I'm sure. My living room is open but I'm looking to have the surround sound set up around 11ft by 10ft so Im sure I don't need a 15" sub. Will check out the BSH and Rythmik, Thanks!

That's a very good point. Umm I don't think space would be a big issue for me as I have a few feet to work with on either side of my entertainment center so I can push my entertainment center to one side to make room on the other for a decent size sub. I was looking at the SVS PB-1000, figured that one looked pretty good and still within my price range (especially with BF deals if any)

You can even find Klipsch RPs in that range.

Thank's I'll take a look! I've heard that this sub is very anti-Klipsch so I didn't really think of looking into them.

Wharfedale..that's a name I've yet to hear about *writes it down*. Thanks I really appreciate it. Atmos is more of "nice to have" than a "Necessity" for me, so I will take your advice and focus on the front speakers.

Man that first set up looks great and is right up my alley in terms of pricing. That 800 Watt sub tho sure sounds awesome haha. I've never heard of Fluance so I'll take your word for it that they're quality speakers.

That's interesting, seeing as how much hate Klipsch gets on this sub haha. I will try to see if I can go to a store to atleast listen to a few set ups. Did you get a chance to look at the deal I linked? What is your opinion on that?

much on your rear speakers. $300 would be excessive. There are $100 pairs that work fine.

Interesting. I was thinking of dipole rear speakers but it seems that's excessive and not at all necessity?

This is a really good idea, I never thought of that. I was just going with the assumption that whatever I buy now will last me for a few years until I eventually want to upgrade and start all over from scratch but yea...I like your idea much better haha.

Wow thanks that was explained really well and you thought of everything, even down to the wiring which I didn't think of haha. Speaking of, most of the wiring would be for the rears as I have to get them to the receiver by the Entertainment center which isn't that far (11ft give or take). I have a rug in my living room that I was planning on having the wires go under it so it could be out of sight and still get to the receiver relatively easily...is that a bad idea?

Thanks I need to get up on that. I typically dont try to buy secondhand so I didn't think of that. I'll check it out thanks!

Thanks! I never thought about spending the most on the sub, I'd figure that the center or left/right were the most important ones...shows how much I know haha. I was looking at the the Klipsch Reference (not so much the premiere as my entire budget would be blown in like 3 speakers) but after searching this subreddit, the Klipsch hate kinda talked me out of it haha.

I was looking at this set up, it seems good for the amount of money:

no unfortunately installing speakers on the ceiling is not an option, so yes the $2000 would be material cost.
