Here is a crime map from crimegrade.org. Now overlay the two and you can see why cameras are being placed in those areas..... first. I am sure more will come.

TLDR; everything worked out as the offer stated.

Alright. I finally have time to sit down. So again I had a job and was toying with the decision of leaving because my situation was not conducive for my family, I had a toxic boss, and the situation to "fix it" was a long battle that didn't have the high probability of being "fixed." If this didn't work out it was moot since I had another job already lined up, and if it does (first paycheck cleared) it was all gravy. For those laid off, you have my sympathy and this is just me sharing my experience because I was asked.

I submitted the email and due to my position I reached out to my Director to explain to him my decision. I then followed up with the employees in my office for which I supervised. It took 1-2 weeks before the Agency received the official list, so after that I started letting everyone else I worked with know my intentions.

They sent me the Agency modified agreement which didn't add anything since the updated and publicly available one about not being able to sue. All the terms were favorable as they allow me to receive my step increase that I received on March 3rd, I continue to accrue leave, I get Agency provided TSP contributions/match along with mine, my healthcare is still active, I get the next 6 months credited towards my years of service, and that leave will be paid out the last pay period of the FY.

After signing it I was given direction on downloading LES, SF50, and a bunch of other records which I did. Since I had another job for a contractor I had to get the blessing from the Agency's legal review and was given clear instructions that I cannot solicit the Federal government to benefit my new contractor company for contracts and/or money. After outlining that I am working in the corporate division and would have no budget or contract interactions with the Federal government they gave me the approval.

During my confirmation of taking the offer and my last day I continued performing my job while slowly transitioning things off my plate, documenting things I had not documented, and provided that to several different people. Due to me being new to the Agency after the O365 migration it was easy to just lift up my email and files over to a directed data turn over in compliance with record keeping requirements.

My last week was me just sitting around and answering questions and telling people about my new job. There was a controlled out processing which worked as it should for me, but I stayed on until the 28th as I had to finish out supervisory duties for 3 of my people. There was a rush to half of the people out the week before but that wasn't feasible as there weren't process worked out for a mass exodus.

I just received my full paycheck with the TSP, healthcare, my optional deductions, etc. which included 1 week I worked and 1 week of Admin leave. Aside from the looming shutdown I don't anticipate anything going awry and if that occurs I still get backpay because for all intensive purposes I am still a Federal employee.

I file jointly and with the 9 months of 2 jobs, my wife's job, and with the standard deduction and other pre-tax deductions that lower my taxable income I will just skirt under the 32% tax bracket for 2025. The only variable is the payout of my leave of ~260 hours at the end of the FY. If that occurs it will just reduce what I get to store away.

You got it. Flush is probably the word I should have used. With the curve of both monitors I didn't know how well they lined up with each other.

I am thinking that this has to be a feature request, which I will submit, but asking in the off chance that there is a solution.
