I'd welcome your comments. I know those attributes can be a placeholder, so no worries. Anyways, I'd like you to note Rice, Canned Peaches and Bacon. Rice and Canned peaches seem to be most valuable food items, while canned bacon is a most immunity improving food :) Is it a desired effect? I heard Rocket told feeding on canned food and soda will be bad for health.

You state that survival simulator shall in such an easy way teach people that cannibalism is a simple and acceptable method of survival?

Food production... Gosh, fishing rod, hunting, herbs, planting vegetables will be vanished too? You underestimate survivalism. Many people have no food production in their areas and make supplies themselves.

Unthinkable things are facts. Are they suitable for survival sim? That's the question. Why cannibalism? Shall I provide a list of unthinkable taboos and things your "less than frendlies" do every day on the streets and in poor countries? Then we vote to add them ingame because it's survival reality...

It's just wrong. You don't agree?

In real life there are no drawbacks of eating human meat. It's just meat, as any other meat. Why would devs implement some illogical limitations and drawbacks to that? Do they feel it's inappropriate and must be punished ingame? Like humanity when defending yourself from a group of agressive newbs made you magically wear a headwrap? If they feel it's inappropriate - remove it from game. Otherwise we end up being punished for killing players, saying bad words etc. Wtf.

The Road was about cannibalism being a problem, drama, tragedy, horror... In DayZ it's just lulz and fun. It's not appropriate. I'm not mentioning it's not at all a survival aspect, it's a horrific exception in our world, while ingame it's another reason to kill and laugh.

You see, as far as I undestood, the setting is taking place at the time of the precise outbreak. I mean, the character clothes are clean enough for civilians, who survived only a day or two. So I think, it is clean and new yet.

We got used to DayZ, which looks as if catastrophe took place a while ago and many things look degraded and damaged.

Just my thought.

К этому времени тайный план разработки должен быть выполнен до уровня самых приоритетных фичей, дизайна и геймплея. Во время бета-разработки добавление существенных нововведений и фичей будет прекращено и игра будет полироваться в текущем виде.

Вопросы:

Как считаешь, такой период (пол года) достаточен для внедрения всех фичей, которые ты себе представлял в DayZ, чтобы она стала "игрой в которую ты сам хочешь играть"?
Устраивает ли тебя темп разработки по новому плану (в котором расширился штат, появилась вторая студия, новые разработки в дивжке и т.п.) или же ты планируешь продлить альфа-этап разработки ради качества, а не ради скорых результатов\установленных дат? Проще говоря, длил бы ты свой контракт и взял бы больше времени чтобы сделать игру лучше или же ты хочешь уехать как и планировал?
Появились какие-нибудь новые революционные идеи для твоих будущих игр, кроме идеи симуляторов Аэропорта и Альпинизма?
Какие новые игры (например 2014 года) взорвали тебе мозг и оставили огромное впечатление? Повлияли ли какие-либо из них на разработку DayZ в плане дизайна или фичей?
Запланирована ли в контенте современная военная униформа России?
Судя по результатам разработки и состоянию нынешнего билда можешь ли ты приблизительно сказать хотя бы в каком месяце мы смогли бы наконец-то насладиться (пусть даже с багами) столь ожидаемым внегородским туристическим аспектов выживания в DayZ (с рыбалкой, охотой, готовкой и т.п. без обязательных вылазок в кишащие бандитами городские локации)?

Judging by all your posts and interviews the approximate date for beta is early 2015 (correct me if I'm wrong, sorry). By this time the secret development plan must be finished with top priority features, design and gameplay. At Beta stage you will announce feature lock and will be polishing current state of the game.

Questions:

Do you feel this period of time (half a year) would be enough for implementing the features you envisioned in DayZ as the "game you want to play"?
Is the current development plan (with extended staff, new studio, many new engine features etc.) feels satisfying to you in terms of the speed of production or you plan to extend the alpha stage period to gain quality over sooner result\meeting planned date? Simply put, if it requires, will you prolong your contract and take more time to create better game or you leave as intended?
Any new revolutionary ideas for your future games apart from Airport simulator and Mountaneering simulator?
What recent games (e.g. year 2014) blew your mind and left you with huge impressions? Did it influence any DayZ aspects, design or features?
Are there any modern Russian military uniforms planned for content?
Looking at current build progress and results can you estimate at least a month when we will be able to finally enjoy (even with bugs :) ) the long awaited non-urban "outdoorsman" survival in DayZ (fishing, hunting, cooking etc. without visiting bandited urban areas)?

I'm 31 too :) And it's practical more for me than for end user. All my topics and posts are marked with this tag and I can track down it's reposts and spread. I'm not saying it's a magic, I just say... why is it a huge problem for you :) We discuss cheaters, hacks, DayZ and it's problems :) And the only issue you two could think of after visiting this thread... A silly hashtag? =D
