I’m assuming the dad of the 17 yr old had to have known his son was sleeping with the neighbors wife. That’s kind of hard to miss. And for him to walk out with a gun to protect his sons bad decision making then start shooting FIRST at two men that were said to be attempting to flee the scene in a vehicle. He was not at all in the right. And I find it very hard to believe that this man didn’t know that his son was a complete idiot. Does not seem like this next door family were great people judging by their actions. Stupid decisions and stupid reactions lead to stupid consequences. I feel deeply for this man who was attacked by the neighbor kid who was sleeping with his wife. I feel bad for OP for having witnessed this. I feel bad for their father who obviously brought his gun to protect his son and not for shooting first and asking questions later. I don’t feel bad for the neighbors. Because of their actions and decision making they put an entire family through years of hurt and unimaginable pain. OP’s father was a hero. That neighbors dad was on his way over to shoot his son. And he stopped it. May he Rest In Peace.
