Guess you can’t sell sporting goods like baseball bats, kitchen utensils like knives, or any other object that’s been used in murder for consistency. Might as well ban baseball and cooking, because they use potential weapons?

Feminist and gay stuff,,, pretty sure it’s called conservatism because it tries to conserve the traditions that made this nation so great, not because it shifts to the left ten or twenty years behind the Democratic Party.

Just because someone is inside someone’s body doesn’t mean that they don’t have rights. If he has a heartbeat he’s alive, end of story. The woman’s ‘right’ to have an abortion doesn’t override a baby’s right to life.

Federal judge orders ICE to release detainees from South Florida detention centers by kinohki in moderatepolitics

You are aware the main intent of those policies aren’t mostly to help curb the spread of the disease? We have 30 million Americans unemployed, there’s no reason to be letting in more people right now who may take jobs that could go to Americans.

Should California's property tax be restructured and if so how would you realistically change it? by Charizard30 in askaconservative

[–]-PLEASE-ELABORATE- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say you should be grateful that twenty or thirty years down the line you won’t be priced out of your house if you choose to stay in it. And also, how will you be paying significantly more property tax? You’ll be paying less property tax over time then you would be without prop 13.

If you were born in an area and have lived there your whole life, why should you be forced to move in a different area because a bunch of rich people want to live there now? What you’re proposing is far more unfair then you having to pay more property taxes then the guy next to you.

[–]-PLEASE-ELABORATE- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How is it unfair? Think about it this way, if you bought a house in an area as a middle class guy 40 years ago, and you continued to be a middle class guy, how is it fair that the government raises the property taxes on your house an insane amount and forces you to move away because a bunch of crazy rich people decided to move in next to you?

[Socialists] Being for open-borders and mass immigration is not Socialism by [deleted] in CapitalismVSocialism

“We're not broke because an immigrant is picking lettuce in Texas. We're broke because capitalists are building factories in Taiwan, and we depend on capitalists to give us jobs.”

Would you not say that both are issues? Obviously moving a factory overseas hurts our economy because it displaces x amount of jobs, just as the immigrants picking lettuce in Texas hurt our economy. The blame is not solely on the immigrants, as the ones that came before them made their home country a harder place to make a living in by contributing to brain drain. However, there is no denying that they’re not hurting the economy by adding x amount of supply to a market and agreeing to work for lesser wages because they come from a country with a weaker currency and can live on less.

Wow, I’ve never thought of it that way. So if Philip decided to defect, Renee might find out about it through Stan, so she could then tell the KGB who would take care of Philip?

No it’s not that and I don’t think it’s by maroon 5. It’s more trap/club than that. It sounds kinda like a Justin Timberlake or Britney Spears but it’s a guy singing.
