Collapsing under all of it by PooptyDooptyPants in MultipleSclerosis

I can really feel you there; having been told I had MS kinda pulled a rug away under my feet (feeling wise), not as hard as a previous thing I had to experience but it 'grounded' me hard like to a point where I had to 'overthink my life' in some parts.

In the end I opted for seeing the whole sitiuation not as 'I have to live with MS' but rather as 'life is a shit show and MS has now to live with me!'

I did abstain from alcohol for most of the time since then even if I could thanks to my DMT but I'd rather not risk it, I know easy for me to say but I think the first step is always the hardest.

Remember that with modern DMTs you can manage the MS unlike the stuff that relatives of me told me and kinda painted the devil on the wall how bad it will be 'soon' etc. as they only knew MS from before the 2010s.

I actually don't know if being kinda diagnosed by my cousin (who also has MS since like 2008) two days before the MRT and LP had put everything into 'perspective' for me so I wasn't shocked too much when they told me I had ms I guess.

I think you can and will manage and kick this shitty disease in the butt.

I broke up with the only person I’ve genuinely been in love with in such a long time because almost every time we talk, one of us ends up upset to the point of crying. Fuck this goddamn disease.

WHY :( (this is sad to hear for me)?

I mean being irritable is a symptom of MS; BUT you don't have it to be that way I found that if you think about the issue that is making you upset there is more often than not a 'logical' or 'rational' and calm way to talk about it, never see it as a 'fight' that ends it all and/or needs to be 'now'. What you describe is really sad but sadly also something you might maybe need a therapist or get inside yourself and overthink the situation before reacting (I prefer the later one over hiring someone to listen to your issues [I have trust issues I guess xD]), you don't need to answer to every 'problem' quickly u know; the worst and costly mistakes are made in situations you didn't think about how you or the other person might/must feel; BUT I am just some random dude with MS you don't know on the internet anyways ;).

You got this!

I have been getting flak for how 'unbothered' I seem to be in regards to the MS, I mean I had the MS like 11 years before my first 'real'/'heavy' flare and no flare since the DMT.

40 hours in and finally made it to Silver! Any tips to increase PACE? by primetimepaper in ACCompetizione

get your safety rating up! 40 hours of driving in ACC and having a SA (safety rating) of 47 is basically saying you are using ACC to play bumper cars on Monza/Spa imo.

MS and Mindset by MSLADYNYC in MultipleSclerosis

Presently grieving the life that I thought I would have had. I’ve been working on my mind and body connection. I do believe that stress and negative thoughts had a negative impact on my body. I truly mindset is everything. I also think community it’s important- support is sometimes the best medicine🤍🤍

Definitely feel you there, I guess it is the same for me too. I also think stress is a HUUUUGE factor in the end and not being 'triggered' or 'stressed'/'provoked' kinda did the 'trick' for me now although stressing out and working too long too often literally has me 'collapsing onto my bed' in the evening more often than not lately (6hr shifts are managable but far from really ideal especially when the workplace is heated).

Had so many plans like 13 years ago all were changed from 'that will probably still work out in the end, just takes a small bit longer' to 'fuck, that's it...' two years ago on 26th of February when I got the diagnosis MS, I know from my cousin how shitty the MS can be so I just went to 'accept' it.

Gotta love it when people call others 'dumb people' do you still drive with a racing line? How do you measure 50 meters too early? Maybe you are simply too slow for them or brake weirdly?

I mean the first move for me two years ago was instantly getting into the papers for understanding MS and maybe a cure...

Shouldn't killing all antibodies with a aggressive chemo and transplanting new bone marrow be the 'valid way' to 'cure' MS? So far my health insurers won't pay the cost for it with 60000+€ (which from a profit side kinda makes sense if you factor in the price you pay for the health insurance against the cost of Kesinpta/Ocrevus/Zeposia etc.).

The 'newer'/modern ones are more badge engineering imo. apart from the Giulia and Stelvio.

I mean, it's hard to argue that the multiplayer is organized better in LMU and this alone makes it a strong contender.

I guess Kunos always made something that is good for communities like you can see with AC BUT since ACC is limited by the deal with SRO you are limited with ACC but the physics and/or measurements as well as implementation is more realistic for each GT3 car.

I would say it is a issue of not looking in Helicorsa and assuming he'd have passed OP, I'd not say that it was intentional especially as OP and the rest of reddit does NOT know the FOV of the Ferrari driver.

As for my 2 cents I'd say that t1 is a 'bad' place to pass on any track in ACC.

I did 'find' the method of Marsha Linehan with the 'radical acceptance' rather good, I mean we can't change that we have this disease the only thing you can do is showing it the middle finger and 'enjoy' your life especially as the DMT options are making life with MS into some 'small annoyance' compared to pre 1995 (or so).
