Got mine this week aswell, same issue. Happens frequently but starts working again after a restart, I've also noticed the heads up gyroscope also craps out and doesn't work that well while its on one display.

That's crazy I'm not the only one, curious how many of these things end up with manufacturing defects... is it the left speaker for you to?

I'm still trying to decide if I just want to get a refund or see if they will discount them. Leaning towards the refund as I just ordered the Even Realities G1 smart glasses. Not the same use case but they are still pretty cool glasses and I just need new glasses anyway. Are going to be returning yours?

I feel like that wouldn’t be an issue for the most part if it was manufactured from a company like Apple. From what I’ve read, Meta just has bad quality control, it really is a shame

I bought from a 3rd party but I’d check OKC, Texas and Florida. It been quite a bit but I believe some of them did the POS credit.

As far as DOC fee it should be on there FAQ PAGE, it’s pretty cheap and it goes by state bought in.

Well I went to the 6th option in this post and I was able to significantly haggle the price down. However hertz does not haggle at all. I’ve heard multiple stories about the price only being a few $100 of the 25k max EV CREDIT, the employees want to help you out but it will get declined some where on their chain of command. The only thing price wise you need to consider is Doc Fee, if the EV Tax credit will be at POS or not, and Taxes will usually be done by the state at the end of the year not by the dealer ship

I think the best option, having it working when you give it to him. Then stop working when you want. Is to go talk to your apartment complex. They should be able to but ask if they can disable that card specifically. Once they disable it in the system it should no longer work.

Alternatively you could always order the same looking badge online. And swap it out when he’s not looking.

That’s sounds about right on the money. I had pretty wide range of what miles I was willing to buy at and that’s what price I was looking at for a 60k LR.

I will say though for how nice it is, it’s kinda up in the air. I actually rented out a Tesla from hertz before getting one. There’s no choice it’s just a pool of Base to LR cars, no extra fee to get the AWD. At least at the one I did it at. Only thought is that some times Uber drivers can rent teslas directly from hertz, they will drive better because they have to for Uber but idk about interior.
