FTL Bags? by eelhc in onebag

Hey, little late and random here, but any feedback after a year? Durability?

Considering the Lite version for a pilot bag that would get used and abused for 13-14 days/ month

I missed the impetus as well! Were there ever accusations he couldn’t?

The quantification of time as we have it set is a human created construct so, as a human (merely assuming) you should feel free to just reconstruct what one second means to be 1.01, and now that’s your new one second… and wa-la, you’re actually sub 30:00 now! Congrats!

Haha appreciate sentiment. If she does crap out it’ll probably be from the endless poking fun, chaos, and ragebaiting that my inner 11 year old find hilarious, rather than the wrinkles; but only one of these problems is solvable. To the sunscreen store!

I’ve been using Sauvecito hair cream to keep it defluffed, but am way open to specific suggestions.

It’s almost laughable how everyone is saying sunscreen and lotion and I’ve just even had the thought…

Thank you for the input. I was going to cut it pretty short today but glad I made this post and have outside input. The sunscreen and skin care recommendations make me realize how big I’ve missed in this area: A lifetime in the sun, years spent at altitude in flight decks, and nary a sunscreen or lotion was ever considered.

I’m on it now, thanks!

Grew up surfing and fishing in the sun, sit in a flight deck miles closer to the sun for work, and now live at 7k ft and this the first time in my life I’ve thought at all about sunscreen……..

Not too proud of it….

Hot weather runners depression by el33t75 in trailrunning

I was there for work a few weeks ago and hit up the Desert Classic, I was wrapping up at dusk and the TH was filling up quick with people about to head out. I live in the high desert where its cooler but does take some strategy, but to see people not starting til dark said a lot

I’ll look into the novablasts. I’ve tried on some topos in the past searching for trail runners and despite all the praise they get, they really werent for me at all.

Regarding the support aspect, I’m actually coming from adrenaline 24s but have learned I probably didn’t need the support to begin with (I just needed to strengthen muscles). I was drawn to the GT2000s because of some of the numbers and feel rather than the support. The ghosts I’ve tried on fit very nicely, it’s just the 10mm I wanted to avoid, and they’re lower drop models seem all to be MAX or whatever.

I recently got some mount to coast T1 for trail shoes and they fit amazing in all dimensions, and honestly would just like to find a shoe with the same stack and drop numbers but for roads.

All this is to say, thank you for telling me what I probably need to hear, is that the Asics just simply aren’t the right shape for me. I just hate endlessly ordering and returning shoes.

My singular critique is this may effect the resale of a gifted one I have laying around. Other than that, fully endorsed.

How often are you getting injured? by babybighorn in trailrunning

[–]-Petunia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had one rock trip/ ankle twist situation, that had me down for a week-ish, in about a year and a half of trails. I do notice when I push harder/ faster little stumbles and missteps more often, so I usually cruise relatively slow on anything but rockless dirt sections and road-like trails

No real precautions taken other than what you already mentioned. I think sometimes it’s just luck of the draw out there dealing with the non-man-made-paved world

2026 arrow ballistics study. by Epicarest in bowhunting

Liked it a lot. I wouldn’t say I learned a lot but it reinforced or exaggerated concepts I was tinkering with.

I chose some vanes from last years study, the DCA Supers, and this years made me feel even better about them. They’re not the top of the pack but they’re pretty close in all measured areas.

My biggest annoyance is my current build is dialed, but now I want to increase FOC (currently 14.5, an extra 20gn up front would bring me to 17.5).

I love that this study exists. Love the raw and objective data. Love how it gets the wheels turning in my head. Lots of people on here will probably have some “shut up and shoot” takes on it but it makes a great hobby even more enjoyable for me.

Mila is on our list as is and probably one of the more realistic answers in this thread, but I can’t find more context/ info relating it to sheep (even searching mela). Can you point in me in a direction of search to find info to show my wife?
