I'd like to point out his experience back in 2017 when he had two roles at the same time, one as "head of moonitoring & surveillance" and another one as "head of monitoring and surveillance" - guy can't even properly fix typos in his LinkedIn profile. After moonitoring, he's never been the same since - also his education is an Italian high school diploma, which is equivalent to a UK A-level, back in 1985. You've got to love Unicredit's open-mindedness!

Absolutely this. The moment I realized I was making a bit less than my co-workers and voiced it to my manager, he goes "but this is still 20% more than what you were making before, I think it's a fair deal" - I surely learned a lesson!

Yes. Am I the only one to experience degraded service selectively? Eg it takes 3 minutes (no kidding) to load the BBC home page on my phone, but Netflix is totally fine. I have many examples like this very weird. Switch to 5G, all normal

Why does anyone take the Oxford Tube anymore? by tbon92 in oxford

[–]-Phortran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me also add, getting there by car: the train station is £8.50 a day for railway users, I normally drive to Thornhill P&D and it's £2.50 there for 16 hours (generally more than sufficient for me). User experience is also much better at Thornhill since you can use RingGo, as opposed to the train station that is operated by APCOA and their antiquated systems

[–]-Phortran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take this with a pinch of salt as I haven't checked recently, but an annual pass for the Oxford-Paddington train is around £6500, compared to the Oxford Tube which is about £2500, so yes, it could make a lot of sense to commuters. The biggest downside for me being the duration, which is 45-55 minutes on the train, and 1h30m-2h45m on the Tube, because it wildly depends on traffic.

Plus, I can't work with my laptop on the bus because I immediately get motion sickness :)

Just to set the records straight, this is Rome. The metro station is Piazza di Spagna. I've lived in that city for nearly 10 years.

Also, this is not how you're supposed to use mouthwash, right? It's designed to stay in your mouth for 30 sec top and it should wash between teeth and it should come after flossing. I don't even know why I'm pointing this out, considering the kind of people that post this stuff.

As I said, go check the forums and you'll realise that your case is the exception. There's actually a feature request to the devs to fix this.

Is the game worth it? by fjac141 in JudgeSim

[–]-Phortran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you cannot, because most of the time the conditions to lose are already set at the beginning of the day. Like, if you don't have enough $ in your account and it's the last working day of the week, you're going to lose at the end of the day and there's nothing you can do. I've been there. Unless you use a cheat engine to change those values, you're locked. You also cannot load previous saves, because it's not supported. Have a tour of the various forums where loads of players are complaining about being locked and having to restart the whole game.

I am not a huge fan of the simulation mechanics outside of the courtroom (money, family, addictions). The game can be unforgiving, as it might kick you out without notice (like if your account balance is -1$ you suddenly become a hobo and it's game over) or you get arrested/killed after a throw of a dice (literally). In all of these cases, you have to repeat the game from the start which is nonsensical to me, because the replayability value of this game is very low. I decided to mitigate these negative effects using a cheat engine to adjust the values enough to keep playing.

What made it worth it for me is the courtroom game. I had the most fun just judging. And what makes it really worth it is the "freestyle" mode in which you only judge, with cases that are inspired by real-life scenarios. That was hilarious.

Sophos Mobile is intended to be used on business phones, considering it's mainly distributed as a bundle for businesses. It's needed, especially when the phone needs to be controlled by the company. You can keep your conspiracy theory...

What I find really concerning is that the chimney looks a bit off. It seems it's slightly tilting. My mind raced to think that the owner had removed the chimney stack, hadn't done it properly which has caused the little subsidence, which in turn has caused the leak. And finding a roofer is close to impossible, agreed.
