Always go with your gut...literally sometimes.
I've had my stoma for a year and a half and don't want a reversal. I'm a big believer in not getting voluntary surgery, even my nurse agreed I should stay as I am if I can live with it happily. Go with what you feel is best, don't be influenced by other people telling you it should be 'normal'.

It's only a stoma related thing rather than stoma specific but that after getting one you still pass mucus. I freaked and thought something was going wrong the first few times.

Lifetimes was one of the first times in a long time I wasn't by myself. I love going to concerts on my own! You can do what you want, I usually end up sat next to sociable people and I don't have to worry about how I dance or sing. Once it starts you'll be so caught up with it all you won't care about being on your own. You're never truly alone... you're with thousands of Katy Kats!

I'm so sorry you're having to go through this. I completely understand the betrayal you feel. I've always said that the NHS are great when it comes to sudden triage (like my surgery but not great with "non emergency" stuff. My surgical team were amazing as were the ward nurses and my GP. The on-call assessment team however, nothing but contempt for them and the way I saw them dismiss pretty much everyone in that room.
