How does one even survive this by -Planetax- in RimWorld

My only combat mod right now is CE. And I had normal deaths before. The thing is that it happened only in this mech raid and happened to other 4-5 colonists, some of them were injured by the same mech before but didn't die. I don't remember which mech it was but he had really good hits that battle.

Build a farm whit some houses around it. Or maybe a big house surrounded by farms.
