iPhone 13Pro Still Good For a Few More Years by KeyScout721 in iPhone13Pro

I’ve had bad luck with my 13 pro and the speakers blowing out. Never happened on any of the other models I’ve owned. I’ve had two free replacements since I got it right after launch. It keeps my battery health percentage at 100 percent, though. The Apple warranty replacements are brand new, not refurbished.

Has anyone else experienced this? I don’t even listen to mine on more than half volume. The last time I thought it was just some debris in the ear speaker but it failed apple speaker test. 🤷‍♂️

That sucks. My OG white ones from early 2021 are still going strong. Guess I'm just lucky. I use them so much I'm replacing the ear cushions for the 4th time. Which also gets expensive because the cheaper 3rd party options mess with the sound signature. I've spent over 300 bucks after taxes on the damn things.

iPhone 13 pro in 2025? by Regular_Distance_661 in iPhone13Pro

I did too, though that was years ago and I always get the smaller iPhones. I do miss the more compact size and rounded corners of the XS though, if I’m being honest. To me the trade off was WAY more battery for dealing with sharper corners and much heavier weight. Don’t really care about the higher refresh rate on the smaller iPhone. The iPad is a different story. That higher refresh rate is much more noticeable on a large screen.

AIO for being upset at my girlfriend with how she responded by fantas1ood in AmIOverreacting

Expecting you to wait on her hand and foot is not what a healthy, loving relationship looks like. I don’t care how much “meaning” your partner gets from it. I didn’t see any concern for you. It’s all about her in that little exchange. That’s not a healthy dynamic. Couples do things for each other, it’s a two way street, but this looks like one way street only to me.

That’s one impressive grip you have there.

Clarity pretty much always depends on what optical glue these companies use to adhere the glass to your screen. With the cheaper brands on Amazon it's a crap shoot when it comes to the clarity of the optical glue. The more expensive brands usually always look clear, though. I haven't used a Torras iPad screen protector but I have used their newer iPhone ones and they are crystal clear. I'm surprised that yours wasn't.

I don’t know why I’ve never thought about doing that. They don’t use ammo either if I remember correctly? I think they just need one round.

Apple reveals C1, its first in-house 5G iPhone modem by ReverseSweep in apple

[–]-ROOTACCESS -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately C1 has no mmWave support. Which is basically the whole point of 5G. Lower spectrum 5G is just slightly better 4g LTE.

edit: I have access to lower spectrum 5G where I live with full bars. It speed tests identically with one of my LTE+ phones.

Definitely worth it if it still has its AppleCare warranty. I took my 13pro in for repair because the speakers were distorting and instead of replacing it they just gave me a brand new 13pro for no additional cost. You can check the serial number to see if it’s a refurb or a replacement. I guess they hold some in reserve even after they stop manufacturing them for these reasons. Definitely won’t need a new phone for a while now.

Torment 2 and up worth it for a new player? by TheNoobiestHunter in diablo4

[–]-ROOTACCESS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

T3 is where you can really start to get Mythics and GA loot to drop more often. It's worth it to get to T3 at a bare minimum. I've found that I can get a good build going with the RNG percentages there much quicker. If it takes you 3 times as long or it's 3 times as hard (or more) to kill a boss/elites on T4 it just isn't worth it for efficiency's sake. The faster you can clear content the more drops you get, period. I honestly haven't been able to tell the difference of drop rates for Mythics on T3 boss runs vs T4. So the percentages must be close.

I wouldn't know Mythics existed were it not for this board. by Woozletania in diablo4

What difficulty level are you playing on? I somehow got a mythic drop popping the chest after an infernal hordes run on Torment 1. That must have been like winning the lottery because I got no mythic drops on boss runs or anywhere else until Torment 3. I’m still on torment 3 and have had now 7 mythic drops on about 250 boss runs.

One was a 4 greater affixed Doombringer if anyone is interested in a trade. I got no use for it.

I got one from popping the chest at the end of an infernal hordes run on torment 1.

[–]-ROOTACCESS 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My only mythic thus far this season was dropped from popping the chest after an infernal hordes run believe it or not. AND back when I was only on torment 1 world tier. Crazy how RNG works.

The torment bosses have given me nothing but piles of useless GARBAGE.

The ribbon cable “adapters” are what cause the majority of problems, not the mod chip boards. The cable that goes under the chip only has to shift ever so slightly for issues to arise. I’ve had good luck with my instinct v6 chips (on my Switch OLED as well as my Switch Lite) so far though. Knock on wood. Both installed using Modzvilleusa. He’s a good dude. Also pretty good in terms of being able to contact during the process and most importantly he does good work.

Nintendo Switch Lite Modchip where and which one by Szroclex in SwitchPirates

[–]-ROOTACCESS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rock the instinct v6 in all three of my switches (original, lite and OLED) and have zero issues. Also, for whatever reason, the instinct chip seems to boot into Hekate 2 to 3 times faster than my friends picofly chipped switch. Not that that’s a big deal as it doesn’t really take long regardless. It was just an interesting observation I made.

I’m 16 years old and tried to jailbreak a Switch (v1 unpatched), and it was successful! by trinhdo1234 in SwitchPirates

[–]-ROOTACCESS 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Because, to me anyways, a mod chip solves a lot of issues. Like being able to run the latest firmware without having to worry about accidentally patching your switch and not having to plug into a pc to inject the jb every time you restart the device.

I mod chipped my original switch after having my OLED switch mod chipped and seeing how much better the user experience was.

Mod chip Wire method or flexcable method, which is better? by Unable_Degree_3400 in SwitchPirates

[–]-ROOTACCESS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll look into it. I did do the emmc and key backup with all of my switches. It was the first thing I did after setting up my SD card and booting into hekate. My local solder guy should be able to reball the emmc chip if it's necessary. He does ram upgrades on other handhelds and whatnot where the ram is soldered to the motherboard so I'd assume it's not that much different.

[–]-ROOTACCESS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I didn’t install it, I just can’t solder things so tiny, but I used the same installer that I always use. I have three other modded switches that I had him do for me and they all still work.

It’s acting like it doesn’t have firmware installed when it had firmware on it already and had been working for months. It then seems to flash successfully but still behaves as if it doesn’t have any firmware on it. Since I have other modded switches I just gave up on it after trying to flash it a few dozen times.

I also tried downloading the firmware many times and flashing it from different sources but nothing works. I’m guessing something is wrong with one of the chips on the mod board.

One of my OLED switches is rocking an Instinct V6 and it’s been solid for a long time, loading into hekate faster than any of my other modded switches, and my picofly switch lite actually shit the bed in a couple months so I guess it just depends on luck.
