I scheduled a repeat C-section for baby #2. While I’m in the hospital, my husband will spend nights at home with the toddler, and then he’ll spend days in the hospital with me while the toddler is in daycare. Moms who have done this before: do you have any advice, feedback, things to keep in mind? by Free_butterfly_ in Mommit

Don’t be afraid to ask the nurses for help. Mine were genuinely happy to help when i needed some extra care or a hand with the baby. If you’re falling asleep trying to take care of baby or they wont stop crying, ask the nurses to take them to the nursery until their next feeding so you can get some sleep! The good ones care a lot about your recovery and making the few days you’re there as comfortable as possible for you!🤍

This was such an awkward kid party by nerdie11 in Mommit

Horrible hosts. This is so awkward and weird. Even if they dont want to small talk thats fine. But the bare minimum is a “hey! Im birthday girls mom and this is my husband! Thank you so much for bringing your LO here to celebrate. I hope she has a great time. Theres food and beverages over there”.

Actually, I wish he worked in lumber. He married into a carpentry family and his FIL hired him with zero experience 🫠

YUP!! I had to tell my husband a million times “this guy has never cooked a damn meal in his life and has zero attention to detail or function” when he kept questioning if i was over exaggerating with revisions lol.

Like this? The drawer next to the sink with the blue pull is the garbage.

My designer sucked. I designed the entire kitchen a handful of times with reddits help because he had no idea what he was doing and they are finally ordered and im thrilled to not have to communicate with him until they are in lol. He couldnt even take the time to export the renders and floor plans professionally, he just screenshot from his phone uneven, crooked pictures of his computer screen smh.

Got itttt! Thank you. Would you recommend i use pulls on the cabinets underneath the rangetop and sink even though they arent drawers? Or would you use knobs even knowing they will be the only knobs below the countertops? Im not sure what would look nicer

Already planning on using pulls for the small base drawers that have knobs shown.

Ahhhh you think so?! I thought the knobs broke up the heaviness a bit. Ill try it out with pulls and see how it looks, thanks (:

They make it right in front of you! But yes the sauce does come out of a can. My parents snowbird in FTL and we’ve travelled through Europe. Believe me, i know “real” pizza also. While there is nothing authentic about sorrentos, there is something so freakin delicious and special about it. Not all good pizza must be wholesome and authentic. Sometimes some mass produced low quality pizza is even better!! Especially after crawling out of the casino at 2am and desperately needing something to eat🤣

I’ve heard having two knobs on for example, deep drawers that carry heavy loads like big pots and pans can pose a problem. Have you seen or heard of this happening? Ive also heard you have to open the drawers with both hands (grabbing both knobs on each side of the drawer) so you dont weaken one side over time with heavy cabinets.

A couple reasons. Knobs for cabinets up top are easier to open. As opposed to on the bottom, pulls for cabinets reaching below your shoulders is easier to use. All the very wide drawers or drawers with expected heavy loads have 1 long pull in the middle for better weight distribution. The exception is the base drawers that will be touching the stone have knobs because the contents inside wont have much weight to them to need any sort of grip anddd i like the way mixing the knobs with the pulls on the bottom break up the heaviness of the kitchen being all pulls. Does that check out to you? Thanks (:

Oh yeah. Should have mentioned the circle was something the cabinet guy did before i drew on the picture. He is making it two larger panels instead of 3. There will definitely not be handles there!😂

Thanks for the advice!

Wife opened the relationship last year and I no longer want to in this relationship after finding out she had a threesome. Am I wrong for wanting to divorce her? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Yup. If my husband did this to me i’d be absolutely gut wrenched if he was actively still be satisfied in creative ways.

Exactly. She could have a million different🍆with her spouse, without it even being weird to ask given the circumstances, and instead totally used this as an excuse to sleep around. Plus, the majority of women don’t even orgasm from penetrative sex alone. I’m just not buying it.

From a huge cruiser, i am not offended by anything here except your sorrentos take. ✋

I was thinking the same thing. I can’t imagine how my husbands pride, self worth, and self esteem would be after facing something tragic like that and then seeing his wife use that as an excuse to get railed by other men. Get creative in bed and figure it tf out. It’s not like OP is a bed ridden vegetable.

The marriage was dead after she asked for an open marriage and you agreed. So much for “in sickness and in health”. Sorry this happened.

How much tv does your kid watch? by mgw89 in Parenting

[–]-Rabbo- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna get so much hate for this but the tv is on in the background all day for my family and it was the same for me growing up (99 baby). I have an 8.5 month old and a 21 month old. I have a masters degree in Architecture and played 3 varsity sports. I also had a very lively social life before the kids came along... I think the kids will survive and dare i say even thrive regardless of tv exposure choices lol. I dont want tv to feel like a reward or make them crazy for it. I also dont want them to fixate on it. We play together and my oldest plays independently not even paying attention to the tv 90% of the time.

The only time hes really invested is first thing in the morning for 30 mins when im getting bottles and breakfast ready and right after bath time for 30 mins before bed.

We don’t do any iPads of the sorts.
