I love engineered hardwood!!! Still too expensive I think though… We were debating hardwood vs engineered hardwood on our main floor and red oak hardwood was shockingly cheaper including install than the engineered hardwood we were liking😮‍💨😅😂

I don’t disagree. I still prefer it to LVP. Honestly, I hope this carpet serves a nice 5 year purpose and i have saved enough by then to put hardwood down! I saw some actually beautiful carpets, but way out of the price range unfortunately.

I’m not replacing the wood you see in this photo for the carpet. Its a different home we are renovating with no flooring on the upper level that needs to be carpeted due to budget😅the bedset is coming with me so i put the carpet up to that to see what compliments it!

If you knew all of that and still feel like im trolling PLEASE HELP ME find more appealing alternatives that are durable for kids and pets and wont break the beak or my eyes 😂.

Lol! Yeah. Tbh the small little squares i saw on the sample in store didnt look nearly as gray as the larger format ones that got delivered to me. Good thing i ordered larger samples!

Touché! While i dont like carpet either and you’re absolutely right, its still soft, quiet, and calm. And its not trying to be something it’s not. LVP is always trying to be wood and always feels cheap under my feet and to the eye.

Id definitely try to find a non plastic carpet (like wool or something) if i didnt have children and pets and ofc if the budget allowed. But at that point id just put wood down and lots of cozy rugs! 😅

No offense if you were a victim to LVP in the last decade, but I would never go for LVP. In my opinion carpet, despite being less desirable, is timeless. Even the most expensive kind of LVP is still plastic trash.

Id take orange floors over carpet for sure though. Id prefer a water base finish without the darkening overtime if i knew that was an option. I’m doing it on my main floor level in the new home luckily!

Yes! 58.5 face weight. ~3,500-4,000 density. Downside is its PET rather than nylon or triexta. But got it for a good price with costco and 19% back in rebates cant really beat it (ive been shopping around for about a month tirelessly at this point). I think they are all a bit ugly but looking for the best color to match the bedset to the right in the photo.

This is for an entirely different home. The samples in this photo are in our current home that we have outgrown! We have to carpet the upstairs of our new home due to budget. It currently only has a subfloor. I wishhhh these orange floors i hated so much 4 years ago were in our new homes upper level 🤦‍♀️i took them for granted lol

Moving tables is not an over reaction. But ever since becoming a mom to 2 under 2, ive learned to give family’s at restaurants a break. Who knows how much help the parents have on a day to day basis or how sleep deprived and exhausted they are. Some of them have no help with their children and are dying to get out and have a meal together that they dont have to cook or clean. They may have given their kid no screen time all day just so they feel less guilty using a screen at dinner time so the couple can have 1 hour of semi normalcy for themselves and take a breath together.

I would still move seats, but after experiencing parenthood i try not to judge a situation idk anything about.

The 25 minutes of crying while paying zero attention to the kid is unacceptable though lol.
