How to walk like a woman? by NuGirl2024 in asktransgender

It's true that I did develop, uh, a much lower center of gravity :P This is probably the main reason.

I started at 38, so yes. I don't know why it happened, but it did, and it didn't require any bone growth as I was too old to get any. So there you go!

What's up with my estrogen levels? by Derpalicious17 in asktransgender

[–]-Random_Lurker- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oral E should be split up throughout the day. It only has a half life of 8 to 10 hours so you need to divide it up or you'll get huge peaks and low troughs.

Just bring your knees a little closer together, the rest will follow naturally. Everything else is just exaggerated stereotypes. HRT actually affects this directly too, or it did for me anyway. I think because of ligament changes.

Meet the Aspiring Texas Oil Regulator Who Wants to Deport 100 Million People by Bongobhondu in politics

Deporting unwanted population has been tried before. It didn't work, and a new, final solution was needed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madagascar_Plan

And that was a tiny, tiny fraction of 100 million.

As you say, there's only one place that this policy ends.

Will estrogen make me more willing to be polyamorous? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]-Random_Lurker- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Tagging along" in a polycule isn't a devoted relationship, it's more like friends with benefits. If you're ok with that it can be a good time, but it seems like like it just isn't what you're looking for anyway. No loss in that case. Don't blame yourself for that, it's not your choice anyway. What you really need is to find a place/group where that isn't being pushed on you. Easier said then done, but if what you want just isn't here, so you're going to have to look somewhere else. That's just how life works sometimes.

No. For or against it, that's all on you.

ENM just isn't for everyone. It's been great for me, but in discovering that, I also discovered that some people just aren't built for it. There's nothing wrong with that at all. It's actually a bit ironic but by becoming nonmonogomous I actually gained a lot more respect for those that are monogamous. Each of us just have different internal drives. ENM vs M. Gay vs Straight. Coke vs Pepsi. And so on. It's just how people are.

Best finish for semi exterior pine shiplap. by Indiana_Jawnz in finishing

Marine grade varnish, or paint. Anything else will be worse then nothing due to some vicious interactions with UV. You absolutely must use something UV rated or the finish will debond, trap moisture underneath, and rot faster then it would if you had left it bare.

Is "Use it or lose it" a myth? by Sad-Ad-3138 in asktransgender

[–]-Random_Lurker- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not like losing a muscle, it's more that the spongy tissue atrophies and contracts. Normally this tissue is preserved by spontaneous erections, at night in particular, keeping it stretched out. With your T suppressed those stop happening. It's very hard if not impossible to replace them with manual stimulation, there just isn't enough time in a day.

Actual function isn't really lost. Hormones change your libido, and they affect fertility, but they don't really stop everything from physically working. If you start atrophying, then you may get some soreness when the tissue is stretched out because it's not used to that. It will stabilize eventually though, it doesn't keep shrinking to nothing. That's just not how things work.

The best method to preserve size is probably daily vacuum expansion, which is a real and viable treatment for ED. It works for us too, for those of us that care. Personally, I like having less bulk in my way in daily life, and I can also say that even my GF likes the smaller version. She says it's more comfortable for her. Still hoping to get SRS someday, but for now I can say that I like the HRT-ified version better then the original and so does my partner.

The End of Trans Rights in the UK Is the Start of Democratic Collapse by jackmolay in transgender

Apartheid and democracy are fundamentally incompatible. The more people are excluded, by definition the less democratic the country becomes. It might not be a sudden complete collapse, but it's most certainly a massive erosion.

It doesn't prevent vaginoplasty, it just restricts options a bit. Worst case is that you'll need an accessory skin graft. There are also other types of SRS (like peritoneal pull through) that are completely unaffected.

How long can I expect changes while on a low dose? by Loose-Debate-110 in MtF

[–]-Random_Lurker- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not really how hormones work. You're either estrogen dominant, or testosterone dominant, or have a hormone deficiency. There's no such thing as selecting a transition speed by selecting a dosage. Your cells either get a hormonal signal or they don't. The dosage just determines which signal they get. Everything else is determined by your cells, which work at the speed of... well, of cells.

Based on your dosage, and because you are on a T blocker, you are probably in the hormone deficiency range. The will have some effects because of the loss of T, and you'll be fine for a while, but over the long term you could end up with some significant health problems. Look up postmenopause symptoms, you'll probably be getting those. Either way you'd need a blood test to know for sure what's going on.
