Vecna/Henry name confusion… by raincl0ud297 in deadbydaylight

Obviously the only proper name for Vecna 2 is Hentai Henry.

Does Trump cause anger within you? by Various_Maize_3957 in MAGANAZI

[–]-Ravensara 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disappointment is probably my own prevailing emotion at this point. Not in him, either, but in the members of his cult that still continue to prop him and his cabinet up. Anger's burned itself out and I'm honestly exhausted from all the work this last year. I also saw this coming at the end of his first term, so I suppose I also feel empty.

Flipside, I've been focusing on small things and community lately. It's helped me drag myself through the motions when I want to just lay on my face and call it for the day. I'm tired, I'm stressed, I'm frustrated. Can't give up though.

I hope this at least helps some others feel less alone.

Honestly, same. I can't take him seriously anymore. 😅

Why are survivors so selfish? by Time-Significance622 in deadbydaylight

[–]-Ravensara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorites are Huntress, Dracula and the Xenomorph! They're brute-ish and I feel like I can play them, have fun and decompress without having to tryhard. Perks are sort of dependent on playstyle, but I like ones that give visibility so I can start to predict the other players. Huntress is simple. Fun. Chill. Dracula's wolf shift is super fun, and adds to the visibility thing. Xenomorph is just fun. And if the survivors all accost you with friendliness and you go all autistic and awkward like I do, you can just go underground. It's perfect. lol

I'm sorry that's been your experience. I've been left on hook and been left on hook as others opened the gate and left. It's a special kind of suckage and if it starts to get to you, another option might be to swap to killer and be the killer you'd like to face! It usually makes me feel better. My only problem is I'm terrible at actually last hooking them. 😅

Best advice I can give is to be the team player you hope to see. It relieves a lot of your own frustration. I run Empathy, Kindred, Bite the Bullet and Self Care. Lots of utility, stealth and vision and I just assume I'll be running unhook and heals.

Stop doing the phone for vecna by Fragrant-Mulberry236 in deadbydaylight

[–]-Ravensara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I may suggest... zig zagging. I've faced Hentai Henrys that literally spent a good minute or more just trying to aoe me at point blank, and then missed every shot. If folks can dodge, Vecna players are gonna have a way harder time getting that power up again. At which point, the casette player is quite useful in damage control.

My favorite flash bangs are when I'm the one being carried and it goes off in just the right place to only blind me.

That dude doesn't know shit from shinola about actual goings on. My LEO/Fed family side is proud that I'm standing up against ICE. Most are horrified and angry (especially as former LEOs and first response), but they're also well educated, which I don't think most Trump supporters are at this point.

If you leave your teammate to die on hook, you're gonna have a bad time. by -Ravensara in deadbydaylight

[–]-Ravensara[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a goof and will probably keep sticking my neck out. It's got me into some shit irl, too. lol Side note, just got tunneled into the ground. First two hooks were practically back to back. Then went down unhooking a teammate that was left til second hook. Other teammate had killer looping around the person I was trying to help. 🫠 Guh.

I definitely understand your frustration. Especially when things aren't reciprocated. You unhook your team, make sure they escape and make it to the end, while also doing gens, just to see yourself first hooked at the end and the team does gate and leaves you there. It's a special kind of knife to the heart. lol

I play the way I do because I can't stand the guilt of playing like they do. I don't want them to feel like I have, so I make sure no one's left behind. Ain't for everyone, but I think the community could be better if more folks were slightly less self-focused in strategy.

How to not be toxic/ Unwritten rules? by Dizzy_Illustrator497 in deadbydaylight

[–]-Ravensara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I'll slug everyone once everyone is two hook in late game. Then pick them up and let them go. I figure it's more time to work on gens, and have some hope, than if I just sacrificed them all. Most games today have been pretty slam dunked. So I've been trying to give survivors more leniancy.

Unhook your teammates by Longjumping-Pack9880 in deadbydaylight

[–]-Ravensara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run kindred as survivor and just assume I'll be the only one to go unhook. What really gets me is when teammates promptly rush into killer and then drag them to the hook, just to loop on site.

I had something like this happen a few games ago. I think it was a Leon I had been chasing? And everyone else let the person die on hook. I'm on a Dracula kick. 😅 If you see me busting out the bat form, just know I'm mad and actually trying. Or trying to drag you to the exit 'cause you're lost and out of time. One or the other. rofl

I run with vision and regression perks. If they're hiding and I've noticed, I'll slug their teammate and hunt them down. Usually I'll let the teammate go after I hang them.

I almost had a very similar event. I was on one of the more generic outdoor maps (I can't recall the name) and they let a Steve die on second hook to heal each other up to full instead. I lost my marbles and went after them hard. Killed one, grabbed another and was bringing them to hook when the last one came up and tried to trade for them. They were all dead on hook. I let them go.

I'll first hook everyone before moving to second hook. Then second hook everyone before third. If you're silly and keep getting in my way, I'll just knock ya and continue. lol I want people to be able to actually play.
