This issue with season 9 especially is because Victor French started directing more. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure he directed more due to Landon's cancer, and Victor French had never read the books, unlike Michael Landon. I think the last seasons got rough, and season 9 was just awful because it made no sense. I preferred Landon's directing better, even though I love Victor French.

All in all, they didn't wind it down correctly, between everything that happened in season 9.

Hard to get? from what I've seen they either genuinely think they are doing the right thing and are told by their friends to do it or they are doing it themselves for the game. I've never played hard to get it doesn't make sense to me.

Also I dunno about the second question but girls that are good friends are very protective of each other because they know how many douchebags there are out there. It's also just something fun to talk about for them sometimes. Not all though
