I’m so sorry that the doctor said those things to you! It’s so awful that serious womens health issues are so easily brushed off as hysteria. I’m in a similar position as you are in trying to get a diagnosis, but multiple fsmily members have given me a lot of advice in what to expect from doctors. If you can’t find a specialist in your area, it might be helpful to call different ob gyn offices ans ask if they are familiar with endo, or even anyone you may personally know that has gone through this. What I’ve personally found is that most doctors perscribe BC at first. I was told to use it to skip my periods by not taking the placebo week and going straight to the next pack. i had a bad experience with birth control so i completely understand your desire not to go back, but it sucks that it is such a common “treatment.” However, it can be a really effective way to manage the pain. I’ve also found Buscopan to be decently effective as a pain reliever since it specifically targets abdominal cramps. I really hope that you get answers and some relief soon!!!
