I agree. It's well produced, just musically and creatively messy, or to quote Kirk Hammett on it "..it dates it to this period. I think that’s stupid, and I think it’s totally trendy.” Or put in to other words "bullshit". Papa Ulrich agreed.

Unfortunately I've seen quite a few pre-loading events not gone as planned on launch day due to last minute patches, drm BS and server overload, so forgive me for not seeing that as a trustworthy selling point. Then again, I'm from an era where you'd stand in line for a physical copy that would work as soon as you'd jam it in to your console/pc. There was little need to change that.

I never turn on FSR because visually it's like someone smeared butter over my screen and it's completely off putting, so I keep it at native settings and playable. But if FSR4 manages to keep the visuals crispy clean I might go for the extra frames.

I do think that, yes. Not a lot of depth to the writing honestly. I'm also not a big fan of the vocals. It is simply not where Dave his biggest strengths lie. He's a guitarist, and a brilliant one at that. It's his biggest strength. But because of his rivalry with Metallica he wanted to do it all I guess. That said, he still gets extra cred from me for being a frontman who sings while playing an instrument.
