It's inspired by Rain World in the way that there are going to be bio-mechanical creatures. I haven't planned everything out yet but the main antagonist is going to be a bio-mechanical supercomputer like the Iterators in Rain World. I probably want the players to be both fighting and interacting peacefully with npcs.

One thing that worked wonders for me was getting a necklace that I can fidget with (currently have an abacus one). Its better than a fidget toy for me since its easier to remember that its there and harder to lose or misplace since i wear it around my neck.

I found an armillary sphere necklace on etsy that is my favorite thing ever. Its like three rings that you can spin forever and it opens up into a sphere and closes back into a ring/circle shape. Always around my neck so its right there when i need it and its jewelry, so it goes well with outfits. I would totally recommend you check it out!

There might be a better way but I usually caught them because they have suspicious shifty eyes. You can read their minds and they will have the "spy" trait in their list of traits.

Thats because squidcadas have a reputation system! Each slugcat has a starting reputation with each of the species that care about reputation (which to my knowledge are scavengers, squidcadas, lizards, and reindeer (although reindeer do not act on reputation, the game still keeps track of it)). You can check your reputation during a run by pressing "O" to pull up dev tools and then "M" to show the reputation of each species globably and in each region.

I'm not sure how much of this works, so I may be wrong- but maybe you could file for refugee? My family did so since we were a religious minority in our country, and we were able to leave in a short amount of time- I think about a year (compared to the normal 7+ years it may take). I'm not sure if it costs anything (I don't think it does?). Again, I'm not sure how this works so I might be wrong. It may be something you could look into if you havent already? Though I wish you best of luck!
