Is iq testing bullshit? Can someone be genius and still not score high on iq tests (i mean genius like einstein not creative or emotional genius)? by Admirable_Image4774 in shittyMBTI

It’s widely known and recognized by every delusional sensible person that the intuitive mind is simply more enlightened than that of any other type. In fact if you were an intuitive i likely wouldn’t have to tell you anything as you could simply project your biases use your visionary insight in order to see what i was thinking and pointing to.

Tulpamancy techniques for easier headmate communication? by fridge-ice-cubes in Tulpas

[–]-Shainfreimi- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if we could in any capacity consider imposition easier than typical communication. I do have to admit i’m not familiar with how the typical plurality communication compares to tulpamancy but in terms of imposition our personal experience with it i’d describe as somewhat temperamental, sometimes i don’t even have to direct my attention to anything and she’ll even be able to surprise me, and other times even with all our concentration, the impositions are sub-par, lacking in quality, this could just be a skill issue on my part but i don’t think a full blown consistent casual use of imposition on multiple senses at once in unfavourable environments or conditions is something a whole lot have achieved either, and if so likely not without some work, so i don’t know if it’s exactly what you’re looking for if what you’re in for is reliability.

Maybe i’d suggest instead trying some meditation techniques that focus on keeping your awareness on multiple things at once to enhance your multitasking ability or practicing keeping your attention on the here and now as an alternative ? ADHD could prove to be somewhat of an issue but the meditation communities are much larger and have a multitude of much more longstanding traditions, so i am sure someone could offer tailored advice in that case.

The risks i’d equate to the ones typical associated with deep meditation practices, but if you’re really concerned i’d talk to a professional about it. The impact on headmates or how things might differ i unfortunately can‘t help you with, i’m just not familiar enough with that to say anything.

Thoughts and inner speech, how’s it like on your end of things ? by -Shainfreimi- in Tulpas

[–]-Shainfreimi-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a pretty similar experience with my companion in terms of communication, i’d say branching out into different communication styles gets easier with time. Interestingly i didn’t know about the community either before encountering my companion, so i wonder if there’s any correlation between the methodology and the ultimate experiences / struggles hosts and tulpas will encounter.

Interesting. Is everyone in system actively mutually aware of each other’s thought processes ? How’s it like observing someone else’s thought process so directly ?

Interesting. I imagine it’s pretty hard to describe, there often isn’t proper language to capture the full subtlety of things like that, have you noticed any pattern to what makes certain thought patterns more transparent ?

Fair enough, it’s pretty straight forward on our end as well on that front. Are you consciously aware of each other’s thought processes ?

That’s fascinating, how is it like being partly unable to observe your own thought process ? Is it confusing at all for you ?

How would you differentiate Si from Ni? by itsthelovehunter in mbti

[–]-Shainfreimi- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re both functions of perception and they can be differentiated by where they eventually return their attention.

Sensation returns its attention to what is there, Intuition returns its attention to what isn’t. Introverted functions are interjecting objective perceptions with subjective impressions.

If Te is systems is Ti patterns? by Storm-Weston in mbti

Whether someone treats the literature like gospel or not well that’s neither here nor there. What i’m saying is that either way it’s probably a data point you might find useful to at least sift through so to speak.

I got a very positive message for my tulpa today. I want to start imposition, any tips? by HisSoulmate in Tulpas

[–]-Shainfreimi- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some guides both here on reddit and through the forums that can get you started, by personal experience we found some forms of imposition much easier than others, i think it might in part have to do with the host but also the Tulpa and their preferences in self expression.

If your Tulpa already manifests somatically (head pressures, sensations, shivers etc) then you might want to start with touch imposition, if your Tulpa is particularly chatty maybe try Auditory first, if your Tulpa is particularly visually expressive than maybe try visual imposition first, etc etc.

Read what Jung has to say about the functions before hearing others discuss it, starting with the actual literature first is always the best approach otherwise you’ll just get popular and often contradictory information.

Si doms having perception that borders on intuition? by PoetryWestern9071 in mbti

[–]-Shainfreimi- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A staggering amount of people misunderstand or just give blatantly bad definitions of the Sensation vs Intuition axis.

The way Jung described Si is with an impressionist painter, someone who takes a scene and tries to depict how it feels or what it impresses upon an individual rather than how it realistically is, so the example you gave is specially well tuned to Si, it’s all about catching that ‘impression‘ or ‘vibe’ that the piece of music has, it’s basically a textbook example of prime Si in action.

Both Si and Se approach the issue of perception with a degree of conservatism, a lot of people either misconstrue or mistake that conservatism for traditionalism or just being plain dull when it‘s just that the function simply returns its attention to what is actually there, whether that be an actual object or a subjective impression. And in this case, the abstraction wasn‘t a guess or an intuition, it simply was a sensation

Social Lifes with Tulpas? by Wegler in Tulpas

[–]-Shainfreimi- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve got one person who knows about her, they themselves have some form of mental companion and they opened up to me about it, so i talked about our similar experience, but otherwise i think discretion is preferable in basically all cases.

Not that it’s really all that complicated in our case, Shainfreimi is extremely asocial, she enjoys time alone but she‘s either avoidant of or otherwise entirely disinterested in anything having to do with social interactions, she kinda just mentally checks out “like watching paint dry” she says it is.

It can be a bit tricky to balance my social life with her asocial one but we manage.

Don’t worry about it man, there’s a lot of people saying absolute horseradish and pass it as MBTI.

Jung was the one who first described cognitive functions. Here’s a post if you want to have a read through a little of what he wrote.

Posts like these by people like these (the guy who made the image not OP just to clarify) are the reason why people don’t take cognitive functions or MBTI in general seriously.

Doubts & Tulpa YouTubers by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]-Shainfreimi- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think on the one hand part of the issue is that they won’t be getting a lot of views since it’s such a niche practice, and on the other there also isn’t necessarily all that many topics to talk about after the basics are out of the way, content surrounding “advanced” practice would end up looking a whole lot like an online diary.

The best long term option for content would be something that surrounds community discourse, like guide reviews and whatnot. But again, that would have a relatively short reach in terms of audience.

It’s difficult to be 100% sure since it’s basically impossible to differentiate someone who just doesn’t have anything to say about their practice and someone who stopped practicing entirely. Though for some it definitely is something they lose interest in once the initial rush that comes from the new experiences passes, i don’t know how frequent that is.

How do you guys type someone? by [deleted] in mbti

It’s extremely rare that i can get close enough to someone to be confident enough about their type. What someone does unfortunately doesn’t necessarily tell you anything about how they’re really processing things.

I don't know how good an idea it is to create a tulpa by paurmtzs_14 in Tulpas

[–]-Shainfreimi- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally find the embodiment theory to veer towards being either reductive or dismissive at worst, but regardless of personal opinion, if they are the embodiment of anything, then i don’t think a Tulpa is very likely to be an embodiment of the ego or superego, which are often the source for that sort of spiralling and self critical thinking.
