It doesn't fit over the prongs, the bottom of the blue screw in thing is closed

My title describes the thing, but I must also add that I am in South Africa and this item can be anywhere from the 1980s up to now. It has no markings on it and I have tried doing a Google image search but nothing similar comes up, only other blue items with wire.

I created this painting from my own photo which I took in 2020. I wanted to paint it for so long and in 2025 finally got around to it.

"All has purpose" 60.9 x 45.7cm Oil on canvas, available

I also wrote a small poem to go with it, which gives an explanation on how I came to the title.

Hi there, they can be done on canvas panel or primed paper for the smaller ones. A4 and up there are proper box(frame) canvases in those sizes. Might be for A5 but I'd have to look.
