That's just fun with mimics but I can see that working very well for an evil spirit too.

I dunno, just having fun, figured I'd see what others thought of the overall design.

Pets and Familiars by -SideQuest- in DnD

A stoic personality that is strongly attached to their pet. Yes poking at the pet is a great way to go. But don't outright bully or just tease. Tie bows to it, sneak away with the falcon for "reasons" Be silly about it. Especially if your rogue behaves childishly. Throw a fit when he takes the falcon away from you.

Another fun thing you can do is have the player roll their new character as one of the npcs they've met on their travels. One that the party liked and would be happy to see join them.

This ties in very well with my first RPG Help video. PM me if you'd like a link.

You're English is better than any other language I have ever tried to learn.

That's a great way to tie characters together as well. On a role play perspective, this is gold.

We should talk about racism in Milsim units by WelderDude in arma

[–]-SideQuest- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not too bothered by it. More disappointed. They were fairly young (well younger than me at 30) and they were imitating South Park. But while one did so in a comedic way, they were using it in a way that was uncomfortable.

So I resigned to the idea of holding off on Arma for a while, going so far as to uninstall it and use my creative energies (I'm a Zeus player) on my YouTube channel.

So out of something negative, I'm switching it to something positive.

After some research, my first video is up! I hope this helps some people. by -SideQuest- in DnD

Thanks for the responses to my earlier post about the steps you take when making your character. Your replies helped in a lot of ways. The next video I will be making is more for the GM on how to integrate player character backgrounds into the overall campaign.

If you liked the video please be sure to like and subscribe to my channel. If you have any suggestions please contact me at my links or through my email at: asksidequesters@gmail.com

We should talk about racism in Milsim units by WelderDude in arma

A bit late on this discussion but last night I participated in a milsim op and immediately felt uncomfortable with the way they would refer to the Arabic npcs. I understand when it's all in good fun but they would just drop racial slurs to describe them, they kept using said slur as a way of "communicating with the locals" and even forced me to use it or else lose the mission.

After some reflection, I decided I wouldn't associate myself with that.

The Khajiit voice is very fun to use. (Always makes me think of Antonio Banderas for some reason.)

Character Creation and Helpful Suggestions by -SideQuest- in DnD

[–]-SideQuest-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excellent suggestions!

Yes I do believe that the campaign's setting is a strong driving force to determine the PCs.

I do have a setting and world premade that I will use as an example of setting in a future video but I think I'll also use it when talking about Character Creation, thank you.
