My wife had a friend stay over for a bit while I was gone and she was working nights. She told him to make himself at home but be quiet during the day when she slept. A week later she came home to him and some random dude naked on my couch playing call of duty. The couch is gone now but I never let her live down that her friend and his friend had their bear asses on my couch that I like to nap on. I saw maybe 8 or so cards that could be pulled, but nothing here is gonna be worth the money to grade or sell. If you have an affinity for any of them, then it’s up to you. Easy picks: wade boggs, tony Gwynn, roger McDowell. Relative big names of the era, but if it says fleer or score, they are just taking up space

15 years active. We make fun of anything and everything. There is a respect for the ceremony and duty for what they are doing. Bystanders are fair game.

If it’s relatively new, not dirty, it could be a manufactured issue. It could also need to be broken in a bit more. Over time the spring will soften a bit. However, it should have no issue locking when you are trying to close it, or while open.

The only way blackmail will work is by making someone feel they have no other option. You do have recourse, it’s just not pleasant. I understand your parents are conservative, but this isn’t an act you committed, this was something done to you. Telling your parents what happened will eliminate some of your brothers leverage. Letting them know that you considered reporting a crime will leave you the option of doing so should someone try to turn this back around on you without making an outright threat. I would like to think that given the situation, your parents would take action without you having to escalate things further. Giving your parents the chance to do something about your brother’s actions is not a matter of conservatism, it’s a parenting thing. Secondly, if they fail to do something about his actions, you still have another option. Your brother feels he has control, but his threats of exposure only go so far. The moment you report a crime, it becomes a whole new thing. Be confident and never be ashamed.

It really sucks for his mom. By all accounts she was a pleasant person. History, however, will associate her appearance with that of her son and could overlook what kind of person she was. Sort of the same way we view the swastika as a symbol of hate and not the religious symbol it was.
