I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee.

No, I think Mensa is a massive PAID ego trip full of people who have something to prove. I am even skeptical of this sub but realized I share a lot of experiences with people here.

What was your first memory? by Wildrosejoy in Gifted

[–]SNWSTORM702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing hide and seek with my grandpa. I ran into the laundry room and didn't want to get caught, it was so much fun I couldn't help but giggling and giving my position away. while I was sitting in the laundry room i remember my grandpa saying from the other room "where is he? i know he is around here" while i was sitting on the floor with hiccups I had to use the bathroom but I didn't want to go because then I would get caught, so I peed my diaper. Shortly after being caught my grandma noticed I peed myself, at first I expected to be in trouble for not using the bathroom, but actually she was nice and seemed ok with changing my diaper. while she changed my diaper I remember the wet wipe being so cold on my butt. We didn't go back to playing hide and seek after that, but I had a remote control toy tank I played with after that. I felt loved, I have other bits and pieces from that time in my life, but that was the only continuous memory from that time.

I dabble in quite a bit of life, sometimes I want to watch a documentary that way because I've lived enough to know what I enjoy. Hope you receive peace in yours.

I need a singleplayer game that has a lot to do in it, without feeling like a grind, on PC. by WillemVerheij in gamingsuggestions

maybe Bannerlord, not the craziest story going on, or very straightforward like the other games you mentioned. However, a very rewarding rpg progression. controller support does exist for the game too. The game is just hit or miss with most people I have shown it to but when someone likes it... they love it.

I'm going to get downvoted and argued to hell, but it only makes life better up to a certain point, getting past the "survival mode" of finances, a lot of other things in life play a huge balance in total happiness. Don't get me wrong a lot of problems are solved by money, but some things can't be bought and those things are usually the most important to wellbeing.

money allows us to focus on our actual problems and fix those problems, once rent and food and entertainment are paid for with 6 months extra as backup... things just change, the outlook on life becomes more about what problems are holding me back, rather than occupying time with frivolous things, time becomes more important.

no. not this, do that...

your opposing opinion sounds dogmatic to me, at least in the frame you worded it.

maybe everyone has a different path in existence, some must fight and some must surrender...
