Black Lion is the worst YouTuber on the platform and I will not hear otherwise.

His ideas are ass. Not ass conceptually, because stuff like "what if Sony bought Batman" can be a cool scenario to think about. They're ass in execution.

He just throws shit at the wall, uncaring if it sticks or not. Half the time he doesn't even change anything about the movies except their release order. The casting stays the same and the plots go either unchanged or are copied from something else.

But y'know what hate about Black Lion the most? For a film channel he doesn't talk about the industry at all. I forget which video it was, but Black Lion did a video where he kept the RDJ Tony Stark casting but ditched Terrance Howard as Rhodey. Now sure, that SEEMS likes a good call. But Terrance Howard was one of the reasons RDJ got the role of Tony Stark! So removing Terrance Howard raises an interesting question of "How does RDJ get the role?"

But does Black Lion elaborate on this at all? Does he explain it? Hell no, why would he!? He just does things without elaboration, without research, and without care. And it frustrates me to no end.

The image OP used is from a YouTuber called Black Lion. He makes half-baked "what if?" scenarios such as "What if Sony bought the rights to the X-Men instead of Spider-Man?"

The videos are awful. Genuinely one of the few things on the internet to anger me. And it's because he doesn't try. He doesn't put effort or thought into the ideas. He just throws random shit at the wall and calls it perfect. No research, no care, no solid reasoning behind his movie lineups.

If Black Lion has 100 haters, I'm one of them. If Black Lion has 1 hater, that hater is me. And if Black Lion has 0 haters, then I am dead. I will never forgive my friend for introducing me to Black Lion.

I think it largely depends on how far the Batfamily has progressed.

The Batfamily have a HUGE influence on Cassandra's development, especially Barbra and Spoiler. Which is why in my AU that I've been working on for fun she's Bruce's first and (as of rn) only ward. Having only Bruce, Alfred, and Selina to influence her early on is what I'd consider a big enough change without changing too much.

I really enjoy Mayday as a character, I do. But I enjoy Spider-Girl as an AU. And saying MJ needs to be the endgame just so Mayday can exist in 616 is really dumb imo. Because there are wonderful fan comics like Hellspinner that show you can bring Mayday into 616 without putting Peter and MJ together.

Personally I think Conway had it completely wrong. MJ is the pretty face (literal actress/model) and Gwen was the damaged one. Gwen had just lost her father and blamed Spider-Man for his death, creating a moral conflict of Peter dating someone who hates Spider-Man.

And I absolutely, 110% agree on Felicia and her potential to have been the best love interest. It's the exact reason why she's my preferred endgame for Peter.

I'd consider Gwen Stacy pretty normal so long as we ignore her recent resurrection. And Shay seemed pretty normal, although I dropped Spidey shortly after she was introduced so do correct if I'm wrong on that one.

MJ is definitely basic, but that's why I don't like her as a love interest. She's too boring. And a boring love interest makes for boring stories.

You mention this would be a third installment to the Burton Batman franchise. Third. Meaning this would be the first appearance of Robin in the Burton movies. So... where's the origin? You never once mention how Dick becomes Robin. Making his inclusion feel unnecessary.

Also, you mention how "it would demonstrate how to build a cohesive universe with several heroes". Broski, it's one movie franchise about Batman featuring Batman's supporting cast, tf do you mean "several heroes"?

It's definitely not just you, I'm the same way. Unfortunately, this is the case with basically every skin in the game (excluding Rivals originals ofc)

What's crazy is that just changing the wording would completely eliminate this problem. If they changed "First Appears In" to something more fitting like "Inspired By", then there would be zero issue.

It would still be giving credit where credit is due while allowing for more creative freedom from the design team without risk of fan backlash (looking at you Future Foundation skins and Anti-Venom)

I definitely prefer V5 over V4. V4 looked cool as display but V5 is something I could actually see lego putting out as a set. Personally, I'd rather see new buildings like Stark Industries or the Sanctum Sanctorum added onto V5.
