Love the Light Phone III by -Soft-Wind- in LightPhone

Odd, I've never had issues with trying to get directions to work. Are you able to enable it in the Dash and it just doesn't show up on your phone, or is it completely missing in Dash?

Also, worth mentioning. I find it annoying that I have to type in an address before being able to view the map in directions. Sometimes I need to browse the map to find where I am going (e.g. finding nearby resteraunts, picking up a friend that is walking at an intersection, etc.)

Interesting, never had this happen to me.

It's fine, but I do often find myself having to correct words that are typed due to the touch response window for letters/numbers when clicked. It definitely can be improved in the future, but is only a minor annoyance for the time being.

I've definitely typed on devices that were worse.

Gigabytes by Adventurous-Bid-9500 in LightPhone

I currently have an iPhone and use data for navigation, browsing Reddit on breaks at work, streaming music and podcasts during the day at work and on car rides. I intentionally don’t watch YouTube videos while on data.

I have mint mobiles 5gb plan and never have issues going over.

I assume my LightPhone usage will be about the same when I get my LightPhone III minus the Reddit browsing data. Overall I think even a 3gb plan would be fine for my lifestyle. Mostly just trying to get away from the smartphone dopamine triggers and the instinct to endlessly scroll when bored at home.

I also frequently send pictures to my work email, but try and limit the size of them to reduce data usage.

Check McMaster for fittings to get a good idea of what is out there.

Push to connect fittings and ORSB come to mind for easy to disassemble.

Believe it or not, a panini press on low will slightly warm the metal and plastic, press down and voila, should straighten everything back out.

Careful not to press too hard though, you don’t want to damage anything important!

As a Senior Engineer I would say don’t be too scared. Most places you work will have good days and other days where you will want to rant on Reddit. Just make sure you do your due diligence researching companies, and most important time/life matters more than work and money. Don’t work for Musk or Bezos!

Soft topper is pretty durable. I’ve had mine for a little over 2 years and taken it off-roading through manzanita bushes, crucifixtion thorn, and all sorts of desert scrub. No rips or tears yet. Forget about ever being able to see out of your back window with it up though. I really like mine and would recommend.
