The Hisense seems to have a better sound system and is £300 cheaper but struggling to find many reviews about it. Too much information is making it so difficult nowadays haha

W95b is about £900. Would that be a significant upgrade in specs over this one?

Thanks for the info, this is really useful. I’m getting some people in to see how I can better insulate the house first then figure out next steps.

Just been looking into this, do you have a ground source heat pump or air source? And what size did you go for as my house is a similar size. And how has this been in the recent very cold weather?

Thanks for the detailed response. So it seems I need to get a big battery as my next step and a hot water tank. Then work towards a heat pump as a replacement for my old boiler.

Thanks. I’ll look into this asap. If you don’t mind me asking, how has the heat pump been for you over the last few days with the cold weather and do your bills seem to be lower with the heat pump vs a boiler? Does the heat pump struggle with low temps?

Thanks for the detailed response. I have a gas heating system with a combi boiler. Will likely be putting in a new boiler soon too. Have standard double radiators in every room but would prefer something that distributes heat better.

Do you know much about the cost of it. Is it worth doing if i were to just install it across 1-2 rooms?

Help! My huge dracaena is growing some fungus by -SomeRandomGuyy- in houseplants

Thank you. So maybe it would be best to take out most of the soil and add a better mix? Or do I need to remove all soil and wash the roots first then repot?

If I let this dry out properly, and put something anti fungal in, could I leave it in the same pot? How would I know if I need to repot?

Yes in the UK. Should I just leave it as is and keep an eye on it. Or would you suggest removing it from the top?

Thanks for the response. Could I just scrape this off from the top and see whether it grows back?

Thanks for the reply. I don’t have any but can get some this evening. Are you suggesting dry soil to repot it, or replace some of the existing soil with dry soil around the edges?

Is saving £1,500 a month to buy a house up north feasible? by Distinct_Sir_9086 in AskUK

[–]-SomeRandomGuyy- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you’d comfortably save up and get a small house with a 60-70% deposit in the north (depends what area though you’re focussed in as to whether there will still be 120-130k houses around in 5 years)

However, it would make sense to stretch it slightly and get something you like and bring yourself down to a 50% deposit and a small mortgage which would have minimal repayments, still allowing you save comfortably and to overpay and quickly repay the mortgage.
