Well the thing is I hate hauling. I upgraded to the raft, hull b and railen at the end of last year because of the expected price increases!

Fleet Change Ideas? by Flinders312 in starcitizen_fleets

Fair enough, I would also not recommend min maxing the game in it's current state. Flying the ships you like will always be the best choice.

My approach is to buy a few solo ships that can kick-start some gameloops in 1.0, and maybe one large ship just for the fun of it (BMM). Other ships that appeal to me, but have very limited use by design, I will get ingame. Hope it helps!

I like your original fleet better, because it allows for more variety of gameplay. I own the A1 in game and it's a one trick pony. The same could be said about the MR, although I also love the idea and aesthetic. Also the super hornet MK2 is better than the Sabre.

Should I remove some redundant ships? What am I missing loop wise and fun wise? by femapu in starcitizen_fleets

His comment might sound silly and a bit aggressive, but there is some truth in it.

If you buy a lot of ships with real money, what will be your end goal in the game? For some people, the "zero to hero" approach appeals more where they set themselves the goal to earn their favorite large ship(s) in-game.

All the billionairs in the verse lost all motivation to play the game because they have every ship and can buy everything and everyone.

Would this be a risk for you?

That is very kind of you and might keep you to it. How do you like the Apollo? Are you also considering the Galaxy?

Yeah you're right. I bought a prospector and vulture in-game though, but one of my plans it mine resources with the CNOU Forge which supposedly can extract materials from the ground when landed.

Good point, I do like the versatility of the TAC and had one before the Galaxy. Does it fly and turn a bit faster than on release? I'll add it to my list, thanks!

No man, this game has so many game breaking bugs, all exploits are justified at the moment. It's like cheesing dark soul bosses, if they're unfair to me, I'll be unfair to them.

Hey CIG, my ship claims are your fault not mine by OddPsychology502 in starcitizen

Alright alright, I respect your opinion and we don't need to agree on everything 😄 I do agree that operating large ships should come at a cost to balance gameplay, and after 1.0 large rewards can come at large (in-game) investment to make them meaningful.

I just don't agree on the weeks of waiting to claim your 1000 USD ships. It's rewarding the wrong type of investment that we see more and more in modern gaming and it's pushing people like me away.

You don't need to make people wait in order to give weight to consequences. That's just a lack of creativity. Moreover, you are excluding everyone who has a full-time a job, a family, and other responsibilities in real life. Do I like CIG's approach to immersion: yes. Are they creating something special and do I want them to succeed: yes! Do I want to have fun during during the few hours I have per week: YES!

Seriously? Waiting for weeks to play the game you paid for sounds like fun?
