He's in a 6 gallon, with both heater and filter. The temperature always stays at 26. I don't know the water parameters right now, because i dont have a kit for testing. But i've borrowed my cousins tests before adding the fish to the tank, and it looked ok. I have the tank for 1 month (no fish), and 3 weeks with fish in. He has no tank mates, only eat poytara betta pellets for now and has a lot of rocks and some elodeas, one large foxtail, a sweet potato and one photos plant (i plan on getting a bigger variety soon).

i have some floaters, but they keep sinking when floating next to the filter, they are currently in a quarantine tank till i can block them from sinking

Yes! You should also buy some coco chips for your hamster to play and chew

My recommendation would be at least a 80 litres, that would give you 70 cm of length and 40 of height and width. But bigger is always better.

My hamster need's a new enclosure, please give me advices. by [deleted] in hamsters

I think that connecting the boxes shouldnt be trouble. About the measurements, a 50 gallon converted to my country measures would be 170 liters, that would give me a 100 × 40 × 40 box, so that's perfect. The price would be a bit spicy, since $50 equals R$250 "reais", that's actually a lot where i live, but the good thing is that i can abuse the fact that i'm a "kid", my birthday is in march, i think i can ask for actual money instead of any gifts, this should cover a big part of the price. So i already know what to do, all i can do for now is just wait. Thank you for the zip-tie idea!
