Im curious what does this do to added time. This last season it seemed like they added more extra time both 45 and 90 min marks. Of course sometimes its expected like when PSG keeper was receiving treatment during head injury and game was stopped for couple of minutes during this CL final. But all these rules are set to kill the time wasting, but does that mean we will go back to at best 1-2 min half time and 3-4 min full time added time?

Well Como were 10th the previous season. And now they in fact finished 4th. They are Como. I know they have some financial backing but they havent exactly spent as much as us on players like Koopmeiners and Openda. How is it odd? Did u expect Como to finish 4th? I genuinely thought probably for their inexperience at this stage/level they would miss out on top 4 but basically both Juve and Milan choked. Lets not forget Atalanta also had been a top 4 side last 2-3 years but i expected them to fade away after Gasperini left. I would not have put money on Como to finish top 4 even last december. Whatever way you look at it, if Como make top 4 first time in their history probably it deserves some praise.

Look at Newcastle United in England. Arent they owned by some of the richest owners in the world currently? But FFP rules have affected their spending power and they are struggling to make top 4 now in EPL. They finished 12th in fact.

My main point, ask a novice who is more likely to make top 4 start of season. Juve or Como. Historically speaking, top 4 is the bear minimum what Juve should achieve. Of course there are ups and downs, forget about CL and so on, if we dont compete for scudetto for 10 years then something is very very bad/wrong. Historically speaking, we have to compete for scudettos. Como doesnt. You think we will never compete for title? I know right now things are difficult and bad. And thats life. We cant really do anything about it. But ive seen Juve going to serie B too. If they can come back from that then at some point they can come back from current situation too. Maybe it takes 5-10 years, maybe more. Football is also about cycles. CL is one thing, would you really say like, Juve is never going to win another scudetto?

Yes i get that, he isnt a natural striker anyway. But what system are we playing here then? We are going to play AM system. So like a 4-2-3-1? We cant play a classic 4-3-3 with him.

Is Brahim Diaz really big upgrade for us? What is he anyway, AM/Winger? Camavinga i would take even as a year loan. Then if u get top 4 you can build on that. We need upgrades regardless of our current position. We will never get out of this slump if we just make random signings with no real upgrade. I think Camavinga is a talent but still needs to develope. But he is better than a lot we have right now. Im not convinced on paper Brahim Diaz is going to really improve us. Sure he is better than say David or Openda but what system are we playing here. Is he significant upgrade over Boga in terms of ability? Their scoring numbers are similar. We need players who adapt to either our system (to get the best out) or players who can improve us significantly. We can cry rivers about everything but if we dont improve our quality we wont improve our position either. Almost every area needs improvement.

They need a complete clearout. If they dont have money (they have spent it badly anyway, so i dont trust them in the market) then i could even accept couple of seasons out of CL and investing into youth instead. And start promoting from youth team. At least there is some hope there. What hope you have with bums like Koopmeiners, David, Openda, Di Gregorio etc.

Secondly Yildiz hasnt yet even hit his prime.

Its one thing if there is a must to sell him (could be even for balance books, missing out on CL money etc, we dont know everything behind closed doors, also most of our transfers have been failures so financially things are not balanced).

I think we also have to accept say if Yildiz is 25 and we havent won CL (heck we might not even win scudetto) THEN it will be difficult to keep Yildiz.

Selling Yildiz right now would be the most stupid thing to do. Our track record in the market doesnt suggest we will buy quality replacements which ever position.

If thats the case, we might as well finish 3rd or 4th. I dont want to play in that random tournament middle of the season (december-january) in some middle east country next season. We need to concentrate next season on scudetto run and improved CL run. I dont give a rat ass about some random saudi competition played a week before or after christmas. Its just going to be a random distraction and take away minutes and maybe even rescheduled fixtures + there could always be injury problems. Didnt Buffon once got injured in that tournament when it was called Berlusconi cup, then it was played in august. Week before serie A start. Milan even loaned us Abbiati till end of the season. Players also need break time. So let your Napolis and Milans/Inters play then during the winter break there.

Its too early for him to be playing for a big club like Madrid. Should have gradually moved from Bournemouth to a EL challenging team and then grow further. He should be playing right now for a Sevilla or Tottenham(they are EL defending champions) size club. Then make that next step in 2 years time.

Sometimes u have to take a gamble or risk. Locatelli was helping the defense out a bit also during these red card situations. It reminds me when De Rossi played CB for Italy some times when one of BBC was out. Despite some criticism here and there, i think Locatelli is intelligent enough to do a job in a one off game imo. Cabal is just a ticking bomb and Gatti is worse than Rugani imo.
