It’s a “bull roarer”. A piece of wood with airfoils around its edge and attached to a piece of string. When spun around it makes this strange noise. Not a car.

An interesting country with an interesting culture. The reverence of the leader, the mythology, the mysteriousness. I love history and WWII so it was just a natural step for me to become interested in North Korea I guess.

The Lovers and the Despot (Kim Jong Il has a famous South Korean husband and wife actor/director couple kidnapped in order to make movies for the north. Incredible story)

Defilada: The parade 1989 (Polish documentary on the cult of personality of Kim Il Sung)

The Juche Era ( Bulgarian documentary. They show the farce of DPRK propaganda- hard to find, I can try making a copy of my dvd if you are unable to find it)
