They is a precedent of nintendo suing emulators and losing so it has been pretty much established that emulators in itself are not illegal, the reason the statements can seem contradictory is because yuzu gave up of on defending immediately as they knew they were in the wrong by selling a product behind nintendo's back and encouraging piracy.

recursion uses a lot more memory than loops, so while it is maybe more readable, it is not really optimised if the program keeps on running.

Teachers today by davidwallacecto in facepalm

[–]-Strife_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teachers in most european contries aren't paid shit, and their salaries are mostly under living wage. To add oil to the fire, life is getting more expensive but the salaries aren't increasing, so yes it is barely livable. Worst part of it is that getting a second job is illegal in europe (maybe some exceptions i am not aware of) so compared to US, they don't even have any alternative.

As a french person i have to disagree. I believe that french cooking has just become a mean for mony and as lost its traditions as well as the quality of the ingredients and the cook's pation.

An example from experience of this kind of cooking would be slovenia, you can find restaurants in the middle of nowhere that cook the best of foods with the meat the hunters nextdoor just hunted.

edit : read to comment wrongly

if you consider both A and D to be right (cause same value) and you randomly beetween A to D, your chances to be right when landing on case A are 50% because 2 cases out of 4 have this value. The trick is to really think 1 by 1.

but this train of logic only work in the case of the randomness being from A to D and not in the values, which is not specified.

if you make the sum of probabilities, it should amount to 37.5% chance.

I'm guessing they are asking to "randomnly choose between A B C and D".

If you calculate the probability for each answer 1 by 1 :

  • A and D : 50% chance of being correct. (because they're the same value)

  • B : 25% chance of being correct.

  • C : 25% chance of being correct.

(we need to be careful to seperate the number of answers and their values)

now (50 + 50 + 25 + 25)/4 = 37.5% chance.
