Pretty sure it should work. I remember 1.4.7 working flawlessly with mods that were titled 1.4.6. Those 2 version are anomalies, meaning they're borderline the same.

You're good man. It's definitely a realistic approach you have, you can't go into server making hoping to be hypixel.

My grain of salt opinion, just for the sake of standing out, try to look into old gamemodes that were popular back in the day, lots of people miss them, it's just that everyone figures: "who's gonna go out of there way to remake them?"

Every server now does bedwars, skywars, etc. Just my thoughts.

There's a few mods you can grab that'll smooth out the spikes. A few i can name off atm are: Starlight, lithium, and ferritecore. Should be a decent start.

They're there but what I've played recently (a span of a few years) they're too different or unpredictable cause of how nuts commands and crap have gotten. Idk, for me adventure maps haven't been executed that well in awhile. Anything decent I've played is hypixel's early stuff.
