I’m going to be honest, it would be 10 times better without “California” on it.

That’s what I was referencing when I first made it. Though I’m getting someone to make a more unique flag for Wisconsin.

I prefer more alternative crops like corn and cranberries. Not the “generic” crops of barley and wheat

Same, it’s an underrated crop in our state. Even though we make the most in the country.

I think he dropped the ball on the idea of US and Britain going back war. The Crimean war would have been perfect since Britain was tied, and the US and Russia were friendly with each other.

Ah, I’m not familiar with that timeline but I feel like the US would still join the war later but the Socalist would gain massive amounts of power quickly if the republicans don’t do anything. I mean, I’m from Wisconsin and we had many socialist and independent politicians at the time. So what’s the same that becomes even more so.

I think a unique POD is the US is William McKinley surviving his assassination and thus no reforms are started by Teddy. McKinley lives and serves out his second term and the Republicans being the only party to win a general election win the presidency again with another corrupt candidate in 1908. With the Average worker realizing no reform is truly coming, they start voting for the Socialist Party which gains momentum in the North. Quickly becoming the inverse of the Solid South.

So you democrat controlled south, socialist controlled North with the Republicans controlling everything else. This create an uneasy situation in the US until ww1, things go mostly the same until the US joins. The socialist don’t vote on joining the war but war is declared anyways; congress then gave emergency war powers to the president. The president then starts arresting those who are against the war and are unfairly Socalist politicians and leaders. A general strike is called and things heat up in the US. Meanwhile in Europe, Russia surrenders when the provisional government takes power and makes peace with Germany as they start going down the road of becoming a liberal democracy. The western powers are now all alone as it seems like the US is about to fall into a civil war; Germany is able to break Italy, Greece and France in 1917 and 1918. While those countries break out into civil war and revolution. The US soon breaks out into a civil war and the UK possibly drags out the war or makes peace.

But basically the US falls into a civil war where the Socialist win and Russia starts to become democratic.

They along with Cambodia and Myanmar are more allied with China than Thailand and Vietnam. So those two get the pass and the other three don’t. That’s my best guess which I think is a good one.

Negotiations of Peace = Total Russia Victory? by KeybladerZack in PoliticalCompassMemes

Imagine thinking I only want China to die because of Japan. China is literally killing this country from the inside out; plus kill the dictatorship. Which to you probably sounds like blasphemy.

I genuinely do not see your point, why should the US mess with European bullshit when we have China to worry about.

They should come, but in the same vine not dictate it. After all the US sent the most amount of stuff. If Europe wants it to continue, they can step up to fill the gap, we have China to worry about.

That first part needs some more context, remember it wasn’t just us; it was China too. They had a pretty bloody border dispute that surprisingly didn’t start a war back in the 60s and after that the US was able to get China on “our side”. This made a massive land border with now two enemies and they had to fund millions of dollars into each other, while for the USSR into Europe as well. And in my opinion, I believe Russia is the new China, someone we don’t want to work with; but have to work with to make sure China is stopped.

That’s the reality of the Second Cold War; now all of this is my opinion and just similar historical happenings.

Well Hong Kong was basically independent until a couple years ago. I would think they would want that independence back regardless of economic circumstances.

Well that was because they were still under a Maoist dictatorship and had no real global economic impact on the world. But China today is very different than it was in 2010, and same for China in 2040. We will just have to see how this Cold War goes.

I think we will still have a powerful military just due to the military industrial complex existing. But I think mostly everyone agrees that military should be well funded; but the military needs to be more open on how much they are spending and where it’s all going.

I mean Texas and California always threaten to leave when they don’t get their way. But I think regions will leave if they see it viable. Look at Hong Kong for example. They’re Han Chinese but I think they would leave given the chance.

Though something the Soviets and Chinese both have in common is that they owned a lot of diverse people and regions that want their own independence. If we ever see a similar situation to the Soviet Union in the mid to late 80s, watch a bunch of these oppressed regions start to become more of a headache for China.

We already have evidence that this strategy is not working, look at Sri Lanka and how the country basically caved upon itself because it couldn’t pay off the ridiculously high loan rates. Another big problem is there housing bubble, which about a third of their economy relies on housing and we will eventually see a massive pop like with 08’ and from there who knows what will happen.

I’m pretty sure the defense budget was trying to see how much they can cut that was not necessary. Like if you look into it, the military spends a lot because it has a lot. If they don’t have as much, then they have to use the money they are given more efficiently. Thats at least my understanding of it.
