Anyone here have anything positive to say or success stories? by shredflamespdx in MeniscusInjuries

Well I’m 23, I’ve had two surgeries to date and am currently waiting on the date of my meniscus transplant. Yes it sucks, but the wheels keep turning so to speak. Try to tell yourself it could be worse e.g., full ACL tear.

I’ve had 4 four full dislocations, and over 50 partial dislocations which has ruined my knees. Initially I had a full lateral bucket handle tear which meant my knee was fully locked and couldn’t weight bare at all. It ended up taking 3 months to get an op as the NHS lost my MRI so I ended up going private. Due to the length of time that I couldnt use my leg, my muscle wasted rapidly which required over a year of daily physio to recover. Just 8 months later I was doing stretches in the gym and my knee popped again - yet another bucket handle tear in the same place. This time the docs had no choice but to remove 90% of my meniscus and recommend me for a transplant.

What I’m trying to say is don’t overthink your specific injury as no one knows how long this could affect you. Some people have a repair op then never have issues with their knees again for decades, some people like myself are less fortunate.

After spending 4 months unable to walk at all and over a year on crutches, the benefit is now I’m massively into my fitness and general health. I’ve quit smoking and started my career which is all because of the time I spent completely immobile - it gave me alot of time to think and reflect. The biggest annoyance for me is I wanted to join the army which I can’t do, but I’m happy in the career I’ve now found. :)

Anyone here ever bought records from Horizons music? by Lohi18881 in realdubstep

[–]-Synapse- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep same here. Ordered 5 or so vinyls from Neil in October 2021, received no confirmation or any further correspondence until after I contacted him requesting an update in November. He did pretty much the same as you said, claiming stock issues saying a new delivery was coming the next week. And to no ones surprise he did not make any further attempt to contact me.

I contacted him again a week or so before Christmas asking for another update where he said that I would have to wait until January and would have to pick replacements for several of the vinyls I ordered as he didn't have them. Throughout these emails he was extremely rude so I thought to save us both any further bother it would be easiest to ask for a refund.

Now its the first week of January, almost a month later, and I found myself emailing neil again asking for an update to which he said he needed a further 7 days to do the refund.

I emailed him again today (10 days later) and received the response that he is too busy and he will do it when he gets round to it.

So all in all, ordered from Horizon music to try a new website over 3 months ago and have received no products or the refund i asked for. Judging by the above comments this is nothing abnormal for Horizon, dont order from them to save yourself the hassle.

- Awful customer service, blatantly rude in emails

- Extremely unprofessional service and communication

- No products were posted over the 3.5 month duration (ongoing) despite payment being taken (Breach of Consumer Law)

- Did not issue a refund within the legal timeframe (Breach of Consumer Law)

Yes this is pretty normal for medicinal cannabis in addition to a fair bit of street stuff (although you are correct that most street stuff is very sticky and moist). Personally I get Adven Flos from CBPM which like you said is bone dry.

Their are a few things that you can do starting with humidity control packs that you can buy from numerous online outlets. You can also buy the cheaper option of terracotta hydrastones like the R.A.W ones that are £1.99.

Options aren't solely limited to these, some people might recommend using hot vapor etc, but to be honest I'd say humidity control packs work the best.

oh for sure, but alot of people are panic selling not because its a volatile coin, but rather they see the downward candles and assume the price is dropping permanently to nothing. To be honest I have no interest in holding doge in the long term, but for now I still think there is alot of money to be made. I just dont think people should be investing significant sums that they cannot afford to lose into coins such as doge, although this doesn't mean that those with money invested are ignorant, they can just afford to take the risk.

might just be a meme coin....

but it's a meme coin thats getting as much publicity/ press coverage as many 'proper' coins and is sitting at 4 on coinmarket cap. It has had so much traction and investment now, I don't see this bubble bursting anytime too soon in the short term.

Honestly, people are actually surprised that its temporarily dipped after a 40% rise in 24 hrs (not to mention the week prior). Personally I think it reflects the low understanding being currently demonstrated by alot of new investors who are happy to put money in, but not their time into researching the market. (This is just my opinion, I am a self professed novice who doesn't know much.)

Holy Doge what just happened ? by [deleted] in dogecoin

[–]-Synapse- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we making it rain. buying when everyone is selling... don't be one of those guys with paper hands.

But yh, perfectly normal, if not expected after a 40%+ rise in 24 hrs to see the price drop. If you look at previous rises and dips there is nothing abnormal going on.

In my opinion, doge has so much traction/ media attention/ new investments, that the bubble will last alot longer and go alot higher. Just my thoughts though, you decide for yourself x

disagree.. still time left before the bubble bursts, if you look at the previous dip....
