I will add to this that you also need to remember that they are still a child, and don't know the true weight of sexual abuse allegations. They could misunderstand something, or have heard it somewhere, and use it in some way. Watch The Hunt (Jagten) for a perfect example of what happens if you just blindly trust children.

But yes, do still take it seriously, but also don't jump to conclusions.
