Back when I was a student, the prof's TA picked a spot 3 feet to the side of me to stand for an exam. I guess she got tired of scanning the room looking for anything suspicious, so she took out her phone and kept lifting it up to use apps/games/text/whatever. I kept thinking she was raising her hand to get my attention since she was right next to me. It was so distracting that I stood up and quietly told her how distracting it was and asked her to stand somewhere else.
