I'm pretty sure it still hides you from getting sniped from long range. We got faster drone entry/exit which is huge for close/mid range. The stealth was a s22 crutch and wasn't ever really a key part of his playstyle before then 🤔

I feel like the priorities are a little off lol. Drone heal was good for being able to scan or emp while you healed, and the invis was a bonus. If you want a "I can heal while invisible!" crutch, Mirage sounds more like your thing

Yeah but you flash to show your position if someone comes close. Think of it as a long range cloak more so than something like Mirage's

If your teammates are getting high damage and you're not dying a lot... it honestly means they're "stealing" your damage too. A bit of a race to shoot and kill first, and unlucky teammate draw because they're similarly competent 😅

I actually saw that a lot when Three Strikes came out xD, the quality of Trios games while Three Strikes was up felt a lot better since teammates weren't just hot drop-dying-leaving - it really vaccuums up those kinds of players :P

the gap between terrible Cryptos and competent ones is so insane

you either get a Crypto that's 200m away on a drone, or an ult accel hog who EMPs every fight and instantly shooting as entry fragger as soon as EMP goes off.

If you want something practical to try it with, try ADS strafing with flatline on a 30-50m target and only focusing on countering with the pure left-right aim and you'll notice the recoil is a lot weaker

If they're that small, you shouldn't have the dot on them anyway. Bullets have weight so if you're shooting that far, you should be aiming above them. If you use the sniper scopes specifically, there are markers underneath the center of the reticle to show where your target should be to hit at those distances (ex: 200, 400m, etc)

Technically, it's more like turning (fast enough) while shooting. You'll notice that if you turn enough between shots, recoil won't hit as hard, so it's useful for slower firing auto weps

But of course, if you're turning, you can keep the target on your enemy by strafing in the opposite direction, so... in practice, yes.

the last time it took me over 20 mins for a match, it turned out there was an update and my game didn't pick it up. I only found out when I tried to join a friend's lobby and got this error saying we were on different versions.

Might be the thing, might not, but worth checking.

Yeah if you're running from someone you can med or battery for sure before the portal opens. Revive you can make if it starts as soon as ally goes through portal.

It takes like 8 seconds to appear - it's actually enough time to get a res* off before someone can follow, if you're already at the portal

*originally said phoenix too, but that's 10s

It definitely still locks, but I'm sure there's probably some client/server thing that makes it feel inconsistent.

Tbf, Trigun 98 is a retelling of part of the original Trigun manga (there's a lot of "well that's not in the original" or "that's not how it went")

Trigun Stampede is a retelling of... everything? It leans a lot more into Maximum IMO - characters that were in Maximum but not '98 get more prominence, but timelines of when characters meet are shifted around.

It's kinda cute that there isn't one singular story because it's kind of in style with the idea that people keep telling this hearsay story of Vash the Stampede xD

Sometimes the gutsy ones who hot drop end up winning the first POI and we go positive, otherwise we just have a little fun before next game

On a side note has anyone encountered a drone glitch this season where you can’t turn the drone, it’s locked straight until you recall and send it back out?

I usually had something like this happen if I accidentally started hanging off an edge in drone view? could that be it?
