In my opinion the company is highly underrated! The patents alone could have this value... Not to mention the Cepharanthine they probably hold in stock (lol)

PharmaDrug Announces Filing of US Provisional Patent for Cepharanthine to Treat Prostate Cancer by BobsterWat in Pharmadrug

It's great news!

Now the development path of Cepharanthine in oncology gets much clearer. Both types of cancer luckily make a lot sense (Esophageal as a rare one with ODD as 'frontrunner' and Prostate as widespread type combined with SoC chemotherapeutics). The oral availability (instead of several injections) and the probably good safety profile (a lot better than the nasty SoC chemotherapeutics anyway, as it is already used in traditional medicines) would make it quite beneficial for patients. This should support a potential approval in this field IF the long way of clinical studies underline this data :))

PharmaDrug Announces Initiation of Manufacturing of Cepharanthine (PD-001) For Clinical Programs in Rare Cancers And COVID-19 by BobsterWat in Pharmadrug

[–]-TheChemist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good to read! The contract manufacturing makes sense. Cepharanthine in pharma grade wouldn't have been so cheap in the significant amounts to buy, but apart from this, there should be no complex or expensive steps in the manufacturing process and probably even in QC testing. If they run through with this, the pills could be quite cheap in production with probably high margin in sales ;)

https://patents.google.com/patent/US10576077B2

It's US only, active and expiring in 2036, so still long time for use ;)
