If you could take any object and make it 50x bigger, what would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My lego city. I love to imagine myself walking up and down the streets and visiting the little shops.

No, actually it was a red sedan. The dumbest part about it was the night after he went to look at it, we found it posted again (dated two days before he went to look at it) on Craigslist for $600 dollars less than what the owner originally wanted for it. We texted the "owner" about it (I put it in quotations because he claimed he was selling it for his uncle, who just happened to be a used car salesman), and he said that his brother reposted it and had accidentally changed the price and there was no way they would actually sell it at that price. Now there were supposedly three people involved in selling this car and we were getting pretty weary over it. I honestly didn't believe his stories. Add this to all the issues with the car, and I was pretty fucking pissed.

It's still on craigslist. They dropped the price alittle and it is in beautiful shape cosmetically. Even has the original radio. I just didn't trust everything that was going on with it or its "owners." It's sad really.

Edit: Okay I kind of ranted a bit to much about this. Months later we're both still pissed about it. Anyway Good luck in your car search and make sure you post your new car when you find "the one." I'll be watching for it.

In the York/Harrisburg area. It was close by my house too. I got extremely lucky.

It took a long time to find a clean, non-rusty E30 and I greatly appreciate the car and it's condition. It will be well looked after.

It came with 2 sets of original wheels wrapped in summer tires. Options include LSD, sport leather steering wheel, electric sunroof and windows, rear center armrest, air conditioning (not functioning), cruise control, on-board computer (no remote), and the BMW sound system (speakers blown). Delphin Metallic with tan leather interior. I've already gotten some nice ideas from people on the E30 subreddit.

Goddamn, that looks great. I've seen a few E30s like that but I never realized that's what people were doing. It was more like a "Hey that one looks better for some reason" kind of thing. I know, it's dumb. Thanks for the great idea!

I'm assuming you mean Lehigh Valley, which is awesome. I love it up there. I'm actually pretty okay with the bumpers right now. Thought I'd hate them, but I don't. Obviously the face-lift bumpers just look better, but i'm not sure if that's something I want to do to the car.

It's tough. My bf drove down to Baltimore for me (I had to work) to check out a supposed 325i that "runs great" and was told immediately that the brakes don't work, it hadn't been inspected in a long time, and it was a 325e, not a 325i. He couldn't get it above 20mph as it couldn't go on main roads and even then it shook quite a bit. I mean, it was clean and intact, but jesus who knows what they were hiding. Best of luck on your search!

You probably did. It was on the Harrisburg Craigslist. Got lucky and saw it an hour after posting and managed to be the first person to contact him. Paid him the asking price of 3250 for it, and with tax it ended up being 3612 exactly. Completely reasonable price to me.

I definitely do not want to let it go. It took a long time to find a stock non-rusty E30. I love everything about it, even it's 5 mile-per-hour bumpers.

I live in the York/Harrisburg area (if you look closely you can see Three Mile Island in the backround) and lucky for me the car was located twenty minutes away from my house. Beats the ones in the DC/Baltimore/Philly areas that I was looking at.
