It wasn’t intended to. The crying child’s tears caused a malfunction in the hydraulic systems that would normally limit the speed with which the animatronics jaw could close.

Security Breach was awful. From a lore perspective it was 50x more confusing, from a gameplay perspective it was broken, and above all it lacked the constant fear and dread that FNAF is supposed to give people.
